From all the reviews it seems this mouse doesn't like dark surfaces. I use a func 1030 (smooth side) with a mx518 on my desktop and I love it, but it's black so no good for the v400. I was looking at getting the icemat 2nd edition in red, sliver or white. Anyone have an icemat & v400 so I know if it works well?

    *edit*

What about the func 1030 in royal blue?

Most of the time, a stack of white paper.

My tuned v400 mouse works on every surface no matter what color.
