Hi all. I'm hoping some of you would be able to at least point me to the right direction as to what kind of projector I should buy.

Mainly this will be used for text presentation from my laptop at 800X600 or 1024X768.

The actual projected screen size needs to be at least 100inch measured horrizontally across the screen and it will be used in a very large room (seating capacity for 300 people).

Plus I would probably need the projected image to be visible in DAY LIGHT (not as bright as outside on a Sunny day, but imagine an office conference room with all the windows open.

I check out the ANSI Lum ratings and contrast ratios but can anyone tell me which of these ratings is more important for my needs?

    Thank you in advance!

Dell has a unit that probably meets this need and is less than $1000...I think they're even on sale at the SB store. I've heard the best reports about In Focus units though...I'll try to dig up some more details for you.

You can't go wrong with In Focus. We just got a new 1200 lumens model and it's very impressive, considering it's at the bottom end of their line. Here are the biz units, there are a few light ones, great for travelling.
