Okay good, was hoping I wasn't pushing them in too far cause have to apply quite a bit of pressure to get them to that spot :p

Hahah. Imagine being asked in school "Hey man, whats the name of those earphones?"
Reply: Oh you know, I got me some Earsounds man!
    Haha.
I'm gonna try some Over the Head earphones as well while I'm on my little "return and try out" journey. See which sound is best before I make my final decision.

Hahaha, is the sound quality crap on the earsounds?

Exactly, I want over-the-head earphones for my gaming/just listening to music. And a nice set of buds for my running and lifting. These seem like they're good sound, but they don't stay in much when jogging. I found a little workaround for now though, wear a headband and put it over your ears holding the ear buds in, but its still annoying sometimes.
What're the best earbuds you've found so far?
What I like is LOUDNESS and good bass. I'm the type that likes the earphones loud as heck. Even though I'll probably be deaf at 30 :p

It was worse than crap, all I heard was a garbled mess, with some voices every now and then :p :p :p
But it was better than the yappers behind me on the bus ;)

I find my iPod stock buds stay in my ear, also behind the neck ones work too even when i am running on the treadmill, but the iPod ones get loose at times

One trick I found was this
Bring the earphone up from behind your ear and put them in your esr from the top (sort of upside down I guess)
They stay in better like that when running and jogging
    Like this:

    not this:

I'm not too picky. I use my iPod buds at home ant phillips at home
Combo of both from time to time at the gym

I'll post pics if you want

I used to do that, but I don't crank it to max just high (scared for my ears  )

i couldn't hear my mom calling at times, but maybe that wasn't related to loud music........... :D :D

I knew I should have pos7ted here... now you bought some skull candies. (eww)

    http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9141564&type=product&id=1218033631391

Essentially those are Ultimate Ears Metro.fi 100 rebrands. You can pay abit more for the 150 rebrands. Yes Ultimate ears is a funky name, but they are a very good brand of earphones. Who cares if your friends have never heard of the brand before? you can laugh at them and their over priced crap.

I've only had my PSP earphones that came with it for the past 2 years so thats all I've listened to since than. The skullcandies are already better than them :p I'll try that behind the ear trick, seeems like it would work better with the skullcandys-plug-in type fit :D

Out of your three pairs (Ipod, phillips, skullcandies) You think skull's are the best sounding? :)

Haha yeah I should seriously stop blastin them lol

Hahaha, thanks johnny T, I'll give those a go as well.
One concern though, since they're Online Only. Would besbtuy let me return them in-store or would I have to ship them back if I don't like them?

    I can't say
I would say skull candies, but my bro barely lets me use them :( :( :p

Since I can take the iPod buds to scholl easily in my pocket that is more practical
But songs sound better on the phillpis headphones, and they are more comfy
I think I'll take em to school
Sir: Whats that around your neck
Me: Sir that is a peripheral device for playing sound when connected to a compatible device LOL
    Sir: Confiscated
    Me: (in my head)

This is what they look like in case you are wondering:

EDIT- I used my PSP ones till they broke, they were quite good
Mine was an old phat the new ones have a limit that stops you from getting them too loud :)

Haha, alrighty, thanks man. You have any feedback on them? How the bass is, how loud they go, how much they block out surrounding sounds, how well they fit, if they fall out, etc? :)

    Gotta hate siblings right :p
Yeah I've never been a fan of around-the-neck cause they hurt like heck when I want to lay on my back and use them lol. Like I am right now :p

My PSP's still work sort've, lost most of the sound in the left earbud but the right one still works to this day :) Lasted pretty long. Yeah I've still got my good ole trusty Phat from when the PSP's first came out. Runs like a champ :) 12Gigs on that baby :D

Fit...should be just like any other in ears with silicon tips. Loud, enough. :p Bass, well, not as much as the skull candies, but thats because the SC's bass is enhanced artificially, meaning they sound like poop.

Thanks :) I use them to play my games as well, playing CoD4 mostly, and GTAIV. I've to a admit the SC's make the revving of the engines in GTAIV sound realistic and the guns in CoD4 sound awesome, and when grenades go off like 5 at a time in KillHouse (I play on a server with 45people, imagine how it sounds in killhouse :p) it sounds like they're blowing up right next to me.
Think the Altec lansings will do better or worse for those situations? :)

They fit well over the ear and don't really move around alot
Most behind the neck headphones are like that, but there is a trick
You should get behind the neck ones with a thin/soft back part
that way you can maneuver them easily when you lie on your back and they don't hurt
    trust me, I know :D :D

    LOL
I hate him at times, but when he asks for a psp/pc game I have the pleasure of saying no, which causes him to say WHY, when I say your underage HAHAAAA LOL
I guess on the inside i love him (lol)

I also got it when it was quite new and its still going strong + 4gb (not playing much these days though)
As for the headphones I found them, one ear had stopped working so I cut it off LOL

Hmm I think I'd rather go with Over-The-Head instead of Around-The-Neck because they tend to block out more surrounding sounds and press against your ears more for a more bass sound :)

You just love teasing him! Don't lie! Lol :D

Yeah the Phat's are monsters, I've dropped mine once from a little above my head onto a sidewalk and I'm 5'11. Sure the battery popped out, but just put it back in and the PSP felt like it was laughing at the sidewalk :p (Incase your wondering why I was holding it above my head, it was cause the sun was getting in the way of seeing the screen so I blocked the sun above me with it to pick my song & stupidly kept walking and almost walked off the curb so it dropped :p)

Thanks. Will there be as much of the.. How to explain it... I guess you could say Solidness of the "Thump" from the bass or will it be more like a grenade going off in an acoustic tone more than a heavy metal tone? :p

I need some sound to penetrate, my parents tell me off enough as it is
You put those on your ears, cut yourself of from the world etc et, so I usually have only one ear on :D :D :

Nope, its just that ratings are for a reason HAHA
I can't have my 13 year old bro playing M games, although hes already finished warhead, and i haven't :p (plus I'm 16 so...practice what you preach huh lol)
My parents aren't that tech-savvy so I try to monitor him, but usually i give it to him

    Brings back memories.....

I was being all cool when I got it (8th grade ;)) playing music off the stock 32MB card LMAO, while I was blading (roller) and it slipped an blam I almost popped an artery because it was new, went back and it was still playing the song :D :D

    Good times

The SkullCandies will go " BA-BOOM!!!!" and the Altec Lansing's will go " bang!"

Anyways, even though the bass is artificially made (if you could call it that), I think that they still sound great :D

Hahah, I listen to rock/punk/alternative/etc so I need bass, I crave it! rofl.

Don't worry man my parents are the same way hahah. These skullcandy make everything silent around me :D

Oh you know we were all playing M rated games when we were his age lol I was playing GTA3 when I was 9! Lol. I'm 16 as well, I know how you feel :p

Lmao the good ole 32MB days.. Get your 5 songs and your a BEAST!.. Man I feel old now with these 12GB's lol

Imma look them up right now :)

Gonna look those up right now too... Lol.

Same here. That's why I especially liked the skullcandies. Have you heard The Curse by Disturbed? That is one of the most bass heavy songs I've heard in a while. If you have the skullcandies at the max volume, it feels as if you were being punched in the gut.

Yeah my parents are the same way too, so I usually just keep 1 earphone in.

I remember playing Doom 2 when I was 4 years old (and dying horrifically) haha. I'm 16 too, so yeah I can relate.

I remember my first MP3 player had 128MB flash onboard. This was in like 2003-2004, so it was considered a beast back then.

No I haven't. I'll give it a shot the next time I find my old beanie.

Parents nowadays man.. Always yappin.. :p

Doom series were so fun back in the day lol
I think Resident Evil series games have been my favorite M-rated games though.

Haha, technology evolves so quickly... Now they've got 16GB memory sticks..

Try these songs as well, they sound AWESOME:
Disturbed - Decadence (The first verse's beat sounds awesome with these)
Theory Of A Dead Man - Bad Girlfriend (The intro with these is outstanding.)

Oh Disturbed is a great group! Do you ever listen to Seether? Or, Shinedown? You should listen to those with your earphones!

I have Maxtor's they are pretty good. When I'm in a real rockin' mood..I will throw in some G&R, and some Queens Of The Stone Age.

AC/DC..sounds really good on my lappy's speakers w/out headphones..and today's weather calls for it! :D Snowstorm!

Yeah, parents...they can be concerned and fussy! ;)

Ohh we're going into the oldies now eh, Good ole Def leopard.. AC/DC.. etc :p (Oldies to me cause I was born in the early 90s! lol)

OMG...Seether is awesome - Breakdown..that's my new fav'

When you listen to Shinedown....crank on Devour! :D yeah it just rocks! ;)

I don't think the Phillips are so expensive! :D

Yes, I bounce with my music..and yes AC/DC, G&R, Def Leopard are considered *classics* but dang what Rock!

You also need to listen to some good classic Chick Rock..that would be some Heart! Those would jam with the earphones..or lappy's speakers..like Straight On, Magic Man, etc..

    :D

I'll look into them as well :)

Haha as do I, I play the drums alot so I'm always interested in songs with great bass and drums. my favorite parts of songs :D Try Theory Of A Deadmans, Bad Girlfriend. Love the drums and bass in that song.

Haha I was at a Heart concert a couple years ago.. Mom dragged me into it. Their drummer is awesome. (As you can see, I listen to the drums more than the vocalist lol)

Yes, I've listened to Theory Of A Deadman..pretty nice. So is 3 Door's Down, and Hoobastank :D Great on the lappys speakers and earphones also!

I'm more into Guitars (bass), and I do like drums to. It really doesn't matter as long as the music rocks..that's all that matters! :D

I've got a new cheap MP3 Player coming, I can't wait to see how my music sounds in that!

Yeah I like the electric guitar but the bass and drums are what make the songs for me :)

    Goodluck with it! :D

Feat. Adam Gontier & Mats Levin

One of my faves, playing ATM

I'm gonna order some Altec Lansing earphones I found for dirt cheap at buy.com, to see how they sound... :D

Kings of Leon, Shiny Toy Guns, Saving Abel, oh and Incubus...other great bands. :D And, good all the same earphones or lappy speakers.

What do you think of Altec Lansings?

All three are nice, but the on-ear phones are good for the house, while if you plan on taking them places with you I suggest one of the other 2 as they are more portable

i hitting the sack now, it almost 4AM here
