    Hi

My G500 decided to give up and now in the market for a decent gaming mouse. What is the is best wireless gaming mouse under 100? Was thinking of staying Logitech and go with the G700 but on Newegg their allot of problems with its battery life and build quality. What else is there?

    Thanks

That is not the best, but the worst wireless gaming mouse, if you can even call it a gaming mouse when in wireless mode.

Logitech g700. Small USB receiver, can be used wired, rechargeable, and 1000hz polling rate.

G700 is a great mouse but as mentioned the battery life isnt great. i only remove cable when gaming so it has lasted me a whole night which is good enough for me.
ive had a problem with the mouse wheel which is intermittent. the click is fine but if i change it to smooth it just doesnt like going back to click. a few heavy bangs or holding it upside down does the trick so i leave it on click now just in case.

From a different perspective, here's a thread I started a few months ago:

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/accessories/698413-wireless-gaming-mice-recommendations.html

Ended up getting the Ouroboros for $99 just because I didn't like the look of the G700. Solidly built mouse, battery lasts about 6-8 hours. I don't really like how it's ambidextrous, making it a little less comfortable than my previous Mamba. The receiver is also much smaller than the Mamba's and is quite sturdy. It connects through a wire to USB, so it isn't as efficient as the G700 receiver. It's also nice that it can be used plugged in (like the G700) and the battery can be swapped with a dry AA if needed.

Just a heads up but it looks like Logitech is re branding its gaming line to Logitech G. Looks like the new king in Logitech's mice lineup is the G700S ($99 USD): LINK

Physical appearance looks pretty much the same apart from some new graphics which don't look that great imo. It does have an updated Laser judging by its specs, the G700S has a max resolution of 8200dpi vs 5700dpi. Other than that I can't really find to much info on the G700S.

Nothing is changed. Only the graphics. And the price.

Well sure, they changed the G500 and G700's sensors to the same one found in the G600, but it is identical except for a higher max DPI. But this doesn't matter since 5700 dpi was already more than anybody could use. It is just a marketing gimmick in the never ending dpi war.

Where did you get the ouroboros for $99? I have been thinking of getting one, but sadly i can't find it anywhere lower than $180.

I think getting a Corsair Vengeance M60 is something that you might consider. It is just $70, $20-30 less than a Logitech G9x which probably is the best Logitech gaming mouse today (in my opinion) and $10 less than Logitech G600. :)
