I have an HP that I got on Black Friday last year for an awesome price..and it works just great for me. :D

I had an Epson...but it basically overworked itself and it went bye, bye! :p . It was good when it worked though! :)

Yes I bought a brand new $230 HP for about $70 last year. Which is really as much as I am willing to spend on a cheap ink jet these days.

well yes that is a good assumption considered they are currently #1 as far as marketshare in the home printing market... not really an amazing prediction

I currently have an epson cx 9400 and will be upgrading to the Artisan 800

HA! That's why I bought a fairly cheap, yet decent HP..as I knew the ink jet refills would cost a bit! And, what I have has held up well.

I tell you one thing, I will never do again is purchase *off brand* refills. I did that for the Epson ~ and it majorly messed things up.

(I'm sure there are some reliable *off brand* cartridge refills, but the ones I bought and used = big :( and )

Hey there! I had the Epson Stylus R300...and a mechanical problem along with using the *off brand* inks, basically killed it! It was a great printer though! :D

HP Photosmart C7280. Great printer, horrible drivers and software. Just like my last HP printer.

What, no Samsung on that list? They're pretty popular laser printers these days. I have two - an older ML1520, and a newer ML2510. Both are good for the price. The ML-2510 pumps out 22 ppm black at 600 DPI and looks pretty darn good for a sub $100 printer (on sale). I refilled the starter toner with a refill kit from:

    www.tonerkits.com

and it continues to work great. BTW, I highly recommend tonerkits.com, they were quick and cheap (about $4-9 per refill depending on the printer, comes with reset fuse if needed).

I have an HP Photosmart 7960 that I bought at a garage sale last fall for $10. It's nothing fancy, but it prints school reports and the odd humerus picture I find online.

I also have a broken HP all in one that I pulled out of someone's dumpster that I've been having fun trying to fix. :D

I soo miss living within walking distance of those friendly green dumpsters... DVD players, TVs, a toilet... You could furnish your entire wayward house with all the goodies in there...
I have a HP all in one, but I can barely use it because everytime I load the driver CD it deletes some critical windows file and bombs my install :(

Other: I don't own a printer, haven't in almost 10 years. Any time I need to print something I do it at work.
