    What's the best type of case for me to bring my laptop to college with me? I have an XPS M1530. I plan to take my computer to class with me. Would it be better to have a backpack case or a backpack with a case in it?

    You'll get more protection with a Pelican case, but you'll not be "that person with the dweebie attache case" if you use a sleeve and a backpack.

    Yes, I think you'd be better off having a standard backpack, with an additional sleeve. Keep it looking ordinary. :)

    don't know of any backpacks that fit 17" mine is tight with my 15" ThinkPad

    I have a Heys ePac17 for my 17" Sager and I really recommend it. Note that as far as I know the backpack is only sold to Canada (though it might have changed in the last year).
