    It works fine on my desktop and moves at a pretty fast speed. But when I plug it into my notebook it moves extremely slow... my touchpad goes much faster than the mouse? Anyone know why?

    When I got a wireless optical mouse at work, I noticed that it moved much faster than my previous mouse or a corded optical mouse at home. While I don't know that root cause of this (other than saying they are different models with different manufacturers--as if that explains anything), adjusting the settings is no problem:

    Control Panel->Mouse->Pointer Options->Select pointer speed
