I have had a dell m1530 since march and been using a normal mx300 logitech optical mouse and i love the mouse but i would like to shed the wire and get a bluetooth mouse.
Whats the best bluetooth mouse i can get? i only really need 2 buttons and a scroll wheel. If they make a full size mouse that would be nice otherwise i can deal with a smaller one.

I use both the Microsoft bluetooth mouse (full size that came with the bluetooth keyboard) and the Logitech travel mouse. Both are decent mice, connect quickly, and get the job done. I personally prefer the MS mouse due to the ergonomics.

I recommend the Kensington Slimblade Bluetooth Presenter Mouse...

Logitech V470 is very Good looking, precision infrared laser, generic Bluetooth device compatibility and it costs in ur range - 29$

I have a BT targus mouse (amb03us) for sale.
-
thanks for the suggestions the V470 looks to be a good mouse but the color is UGLY
i might just go with the microsoft mouse.
-
It's a great choice!
I'm using mine right now sitting in my lounge chair!

Does microsoft actually have software support for the 5000 now? Read the reviews on this mouse and a common complaint when this mouse came out was that there was no software support at all, you were not able to remap the buttons from the sounds of it.
-
-
It will work great for you..no worries
Keep us posted once you receive it, are using it..and how it's just working out!

I never got around to buying that mouse yet however i think i am going to buy one this week.
between the Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000 & a used Logitech V270 Cordless Optical Bluetooth Mouse
anyone know if either of these are about the same size as a normal mouse? like a say Logitech MX300? or are they smaller? i would like to find a logitech or microsoft mouse that is almost the same size as a normal mouse. I have only used normal mice and i think a smaller one might get annoying -
Have you seen the sizes of the new wireless usb recievers? I have both the V450 and the V470 and I much prefer the wireless over the bluetooth. Besides, it looks much better.
-
it does look better, however i dont really want dongles poking out of my laptop
-
You wont even notice it. I dont have to remove it when putting the comp in a sleeve. Also, it saves you battery life.
-
lol.
I think the MS 5000 & the V270 are about the same size And, it's still priced at $34 at amazon.com, as well as the V270 is $37.95
Cin -
yeah i saw they were cheaper on amazon i just dont know if i can get down on a smaller mouse. -

You know I just got a Dell Cherry Red Bluetooth Mouse for my 1530 and my Mini 9 Netbook..it's a great BT Mouse!
I'm looking at it next to the MS BT 5000, and it is a bit larger. Have you considered a Dell BT Mouse? The setup was easy, and I really like it!

The missus uses a Microsoft BT 5000 mouse on her E6400, and I use a Microsoft BT Presenter 8000 on my M4400.
Both have good ergonomics, and are flawless in operation; also, I was able to remap the buttons of the BT 5000 by browsing to the IntelliPoint folder & selecting the Dual Mouse Optical driver. -
This one recharges from your usb port:

can someone tell me how a bluetooth mouse works. when i use my nano mouse, all I have to do is turn the mouse on. it immediatly works without any setup. it cant get much easier then simply turning it on. now with bluetooth every time I want to use the mouse do I have to go through adding a bluetooth device and such or is it like the nano and you turn it on and it simply works.

- Control panel/select bluetooth devices
- Click add
- Check "my device is set up and ready to be found" then click "next"
- Press and hold the connect or pairing button until the optical sensor flashes
- Under "peripherals" select "mouse then click next
- Select "don't use a passkey" then click next
- Windows will start to connect your mouse automatically
- Press "finish" after the connection process is complete
* Once the connection between mouse/computer is established, the connection will re-establish automatically when Windows runs.
// Do not press the pairing button once the mouse has been paired, otherwise connection will be lost and pairing process will need to be repeated. -
thanks zim!
