I got a Targus Explorer Backpack, with a pull out sleeve for a 15.4" widescreen laptop.
I usually carry around the following in it:
Toshiba M70 laptop(obviously)
Power supply
12' of cat5 cable
6' of cat5 crossover cable
12' of S-video cable
6' of 3.5mm extender cable
6' of audio RCA cables
a radio shack RCA-audio to 3.5mm headphone jack(so i can combine the 2 prev. cables, and the S-video one to send audio/video to a TV)
a CD wallet with a bunch of important apps i need(including a ghost image of my hard drive)
half a dozen blank CD-r's and DVD+r's
Pen, Pencil, Paper
Notebook mouse
2 gig flash drive
20 gig MP3 player(also doubles as a external hard drive)
Minolta Xt digital camera with 256 SD card(old and junky. Battery barely holds a charge now)
I plan on replacing everything in the next few months when i get a new laptop(Either M1210 or Macbook, once santa rosa is rolled out) and a lighter/smaller backpack. Right now the Kata Ergo V looks pretty nice. I would like a more in-depth review though. I'll also prob. replace the Minolta XT with a Nikon D80. Hoping i can sell my current portable set up to my brother for around 1k canadian.
Right now, without ANY school books or binders, my backpack is around 15lbs. -
usapatriot Notebook Nobel Laureate
some blank cd's
some game cd's
g5 mouse weights
headphone splitter
Katatonia cd's
mini-screw driver -
My laptop in a laptop sleeve
My AC Adapter - I bring it some times, not always though.
An attache case holding my notes and stuff
A pen, and calculator, and a pencil.
That is all. -
Get a Safedisc hider, and Daemon Tools. Makes things more portable, and you can keep your games safe at home, and use less power, less noise when playing.
-
let's see... today was a heavy day.
lappy, logitech v450, power supply, 2gb usb stick, my rockboxed iPod Nano, seminar notebook, ~100 pages of journal articles, a book on 16th century British church furniture, an edited transcription of churchwardens' accounts for St. Mary at Hill in London... pens... some tylenol... -
Usually, just my notebook, power adapter and a (tightly sealed) nalgene bottle.
-
In my bag I have my notebook, powersupply, mini mouse, gp2x, 2 16 gig flash voyager drives, a few DVD's to watch at work.
