I have a Logitech and it uses a BALL in the middle. it looks like it slips when i make fast movements...
So I'm looking for some help.
Lastly, some people said I should get a corded mouse instead of un-corded. Is there any truth to that?
thanks

the logitech MX series wired mouses.

the logitech G5 gaming mouse. for sure!
cordless gaming mouse has some disadvantage over its corded counterpart. it exhibit some lag, and also interupts your wifi signals if you use one (though the effect is very little).
the logitech G7 cordless gaming mouse claims to eliminate the lag, though i never tried it coz of the inconvinience of the battery (this one uses li-ion) and price hike; never justify me to purchase any cordless mouse.
so if you want the best gaming mouse; i suggest getting either the G5 or the G7. -
Corded gaming mice will not have the lag that most wireless mice will exhibit. Many like the Razer Copperhead for that.
I will recommend the Logitech G7. Its fast 2.4 GHz connection eliminates the wireless lag and has 2 rechargeable batteries.
Keep in mind that higher sensitivity (up to 2000 dpi) will give you better performance in FPS games once you get used to them. -
MX revolution
VX revolution
They look sexy and they are pretty good. I have VX and I love it! -
I prefer corded over wireless.
As a gamer, I honestly prefer the Razer Copperhead over the G5. The G5 kills the left hand. The Copperhead doesn't. -
I would also recommend the G5. I used it on a mate's desktop and it was perfect, with the changeable weights and also, corded is much more reliable than cordless, plus the fact that it doesn't use batteries.

i prefer razer copperhead, and get a corded one for sure. -
There's no 'best' gaming mouse, but there are a lot of very good ones out there. The biggest factor is how you prefer to hold the mouse - if you use your fingertips, I'd recommend anything that Razer has to offer, as well as the Logitech G3. If you use your whole hand, and move the mouse with your arm and wrist, look at the Logitech MX518, G5, and G7.
And if your current mouse is a Logitech Mouseman, check out the Creative Fatal1ty 1010 ( caveat emptor; it has a lot of issues) and 2020. -

I agree that there is no "best" mouse - to phrase the question better:
"What gaming mouse is best for me."
I have been a Razer owner for some time now, and have always enjoyed them more than the Logitech gaming mice. I like the rubber thumb supports, sculpted mouse buttons, scroll wheel, and the overall look and design of the Razers better. Logitech by no means makes a bad mouse; the G5 is a great mouse and I am sure I would be happy with it, but the Razers suit me better.
Do yourself a favor and take a trip to Best Buy, they normally have a large variety of mice on display.
How much were you willing to spend on a mouse by the way? You never said. -
I would also look at button configuration, and ways to control the dpi. Either way you'll wreck it when you get killed and then slam it down on the desk, then realize how much money you're hitting against something that should only glide across it. Just my opinion.

I just ordered a VX Revolution - I'll tell you how it feels when I get it!

Oh come on people don't buy into the hype (and internet reviews)...You don't need to spend $50 for a good mouse that can game.
I'm using an optical Microsoft Intellimouse for moderate to heavy gaming in several different FPS's as well as other genres, and I am finding that thanks to the handy side buttons I can easily "pwn" all but the most experienced players in those games. My third game in HL2eathMatch, I outfragged 15 other people in one of those dome-type arenas with this mouse. The support for this mouse is built into all versions of Windows after WinMe so you'll never have to worry about not having all of the buttons working right.
I seriously considered the G5 before this, what with its neato dpi-switching capabilities and weights, but I am very happy with the Intellimouse.
Whats the best gaming mouse?
