Yet another MX518 userIt works well for games, I like being able to drop the sensitivity when sniping or whatever, and the side buttons are always useful for macroing sprinting, crouching, nades, etc. It's comfortable, accurate, has high dpi, and it's inexpensive. Eventually I'll upgrade to a G9 for the weight I think, but since this works just fine I have no reason too right now.

Still digging my Razer Lachesis, runner up was my old Logitech G5 for sure.
I still havent felt too many other high quality mice though -
Mighty mouse!
-
Razer Copperhead!
-
I like G9 for the shape, the switchable profiles that don't need software to be installed, large mouse feet, customizable weight (which I set up once and left alone), and good build quality.
Buttons don't rattle around, clicks are firm and not too loud and I love the how the scrollwheel is metal with a rubber grip down the center. It is a bit hard to press the scroll wheel button though. -
+ 1 for the Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 3.0. It was my first 'gaming' mouse and had the perfect size and shape for me. But the buttons got all screwed up from excessive use at all my CS matches so I had to retire it
I replaced it with a Logitech MX 500 (bought it like a month before the 510 came out lol) which I have since replaced with the Razer Lachesis.
I found the MX 500 good but didnt like the way it tapered at the front. The lachesis is awesome but it feels a bit small.
Really wish they hadn't stopped making the Explorer V 3.0, really miss it and my hardcore gaming days -
Uh, you sure about that? It looks like they still sell them, though they have a bit more ergonomic "curve" than I remember and they're black now. Heck I just bought a Optical Mouse Wheel 3 button for 7 bucks which is the same near as i can tell as the old intellimouse explorer sans the forward/back buttons OEM from buy.com.

I've been using the MX518 for years and it still works fine for me.
-
MX518, G5 and G9 all the way. Logitech just knows how to please a gamer.

I think my new MoGo X54 Media Bluetooth Mouse..is quickly becoming my fav

it's a tie between my old razer diamondback 3g (which i dont use anymore because of a dodgy wire in the usb cable) and my microsoft Sidewinder you know the big ugly looking thing with the tiny random lcd display on the side

the logitech VX nano is a fantastic mouse especially with the nano reciever! definately my favourite mouse

Logitech G5 and G9 FTW!!

That's the mouse I just bought few weeks ago.It runs about 10 hrs.
Here it ishttp://www.radtech.us/Products/BT550.aspx -
Nice - and a great idea - using a USB cable to charge & run the mouse (except if you use your laptop on batteriy...)
But: 10 hours is very bad...
I think my first wireless mouse did something like that - or maybe 2 days...
My Sony bluetooth mouse can go - I think - 2-3 months with one set of batteries... -
-
So, the Sony is well above 100 hours...
But I suppose if you enjoy it otherwise its still a good product for you -
to all you logitec VX revolution fans..
Can you connect the mouse using bluetooth or do you have to use the USB connector -
20 hours sounds better
-
Mine goes on stand by whenever you are not using it this way saves battery.
Also I think that rechargeable batts are not as long lasting as the reglat or heavy duties one(not rechargeable).Thats why one can get mote time usage.
Anyway it's black which matches with my on the way Z690. -
Actually - you are right on the rechargeable batteries if yours are low capacity ones.
Switches itself off - it rather goes into a form of sleep mode.
So does mine -
I like my Logitech Mx Revolution. Feels great in my hands and has useful buttons. I leave this thin on 24 hrs a day because I always forget to switch it off and it can easily last 2 weeks without a charge. great mouse. I also have a Microsoft bluetooth 8000 mouse. I don't like it as much as the revolution, but it is still a good mouse that i can use without a dongle for my laptop.
-
razor diamondback 3G, I love this design and the feel. I use it for gaming on my laptop all the time otherwise I use my Microsoft wireless ergonomic 7000 mouse which is pretty good too.

The Fire Snake Notebook Virtuoso
-
I bought a microsoft trackball mouse (where you use your thumb to move a large ball on top of the mouse). It's fast and smooth to use and has lasted me about 10 YEARS. Yes, years. I see no reason why it won't last another 10.
-
+1 for Diamondback 3G... it feels really nice and the design is perfect for my claw grip gaming style.
-
+1 for logitech g9
-
20 hrs of usage totals 22hrs (rechargeable batteries). Now all I have to do is
plug the USB cable into the mouse/comp and recharge the batts. -
who needs laser.. Logitech Optical MX518 does the job
-
something better. -

I love the Arc, I have big hands and it feels like a full size portable also the added perks of being able to wrap your fingers around it which is cool for extra grip. I responds well on my jeans for those tight train journeys, matches my LG P310 and looks like a star trek comunicator when its opened what more could i want. -
-
My favorite is still the old Logitech MouseMan+ style. I wish they made a mouse with modern features and that shape.
-edit- The MX 400 and 620 look somewhat similar in shape, but I haven't had a chance to actually get my hands on one and see. -
LOGITECH MX620 Is definitely my favourite so far. I have tried a few razers but they don't fit my hand as good. Only thing I hate is the search button... which reminds me I should deactivate it.
-
Check whether they are AA or AAA in size.
I used some AA batteries at 1600mAh each for my old Canon Powershot - that was as much as a normal battery.
The more mAh the longer the battery lasts.
(and the longer it charges) -
Mine are rated AAA 1.2V 700mAH.Browsed a site and got a 1200mAH for
$3.89(each)x2=$7.78 + shipping = +/- $12.00 for a long/long time.So now I have this.With 700 = 22hrs now with 1200 = 38hrs.Much better.I am ordering
some now. -
1200mAh sounds much better
One more thing.
Discharge the batteries as much as possible.
(technically to 0%) before you recharge.
NiMH batteries will loose their capacity otherwise... -
-
Good
(by the way, you can also use normal batteries or charge them externally with a charger that discharges them... - but you'll be fine without I'd say) -
USB cable attached computer>mouse(either on AC pwr or not) and while they charge I keep on using the mouse. -

Ugh, looking at the 620 it seems they put the laser sensor off under the pinky side of the mouse. I think that would throw me off (I tend to move my mouse in more of a rolling motion).
