Been waiting patiently for Arc Touch Mouse since the rumors.

Anyway, would it be okay for daily uses and programming? I'm currently using the Bluetrack mouse (6000 model).

Amazon have them on pre-order for quite long time and I was wondering when we'll be able to buy them.

    Anyone planning to get these?

    Thanks!

The release date is currently listed as December, although these sorts of things have been known to change. I don't see why it wouldn't be alright for regular use, although I'm personally a trackball user so I don't follow mice as much.

I hated the original Microsoft Arc...if this is anything like it, it'll suck.

The Arc was a decent mouse on paper, and the folding design was a neat idea, but damn, it was just so awkward to hold. The thumb button is way too far forward, and it's overall a very uncomfortable mouse.

I'm worried about its thinness of the design too since I've never had such type of mouse before. MS mouse goes on sale so quickly so I think it'll be worth a wait once it comes out.

this look really nice, I like it that they are considering portability.

If it is a touch mouse, it means it makes no sound when you click, right?

if so, I will definitely get one of these.

I think the left and right buttons still click, but instead of a scroll wheel, it's a touch-sensitive scroll bar in the middle.

The middle scroll bar has the touch haptic feedback and makes a noise when you scroll. Otherwise, everything else is equivalent to regular mouse. I believe you can turn it off using IntelliPoint software though.

I can't wait! I think you should be able to pick this one up for 50% off less than MSRP if you wait awhile, much like other Microsoft mouse sold in Amazon.
