    Hi,
I know there's some sort of wire stands you can buy to elevate your laptop at an angle off your desk to keep it from overheating, but what kind is best and where can I find one? And would that be better than a "chill pad", or vice-versa?

personally, i have a deskfan blowing behind the back of my laptop thats elevated on coasters and altoid tins and i'm nice and cool :D A chill pad is completely dependent on for the most part 2 things
1)the direction the pad fans' blow relative to the direction your laptop fans suck in air
2)the positioning of the fans on the pad relative to your hd, gpu, cpu, dimm and/or laptop fan vents

Yeah, that's pretty much what I'm doing, minus the desk fan. Right now I'm just propping it up on a MLA handbook :)
