Basically I wanted one when I was going to order the XPS M1330 but because of the long shipping time I opted for the M1710 instead. Are there any good fingerprint scanners which do the job of that in the 1330?

(Not sure if I should have posted this in the Accessories forum instead...feel free to move it)

Well, I'm not really sure of any standalone scanners, but I have one built-in with my keyboard (Microsoft Optical Desktop; NewEgg or TigerDirect it). To be honest, scanners are more of a hassle than an aid. I wouldn't recommend getting one, as it's not worth the trouble.

I know that Microsoft makes a stand alone fingerprint readers. I'm not sure where they're sold, I just know I can get one through Microsoft for free or close to free.
