I just ordered a WaterField sleeve for my A8JS and I'm looking for a simple backpack, preferably with 2 zippers (one big, one small).

So basically, where can I buy a regular backpack that isn't bulky and will fit my A8JS and a textbook comfortably?

There are a lot of stores that sells backpacks, check out a local mall.

However, if you are inclined to check online(where there is a much larger selection), ebags.com is a great place to start looking.

Target, Wal-Mart, KMart, Office Depot, OfficeMax, Staples and you could try JCPenney, Sears and the like... Pretty much anyplace that sells sell school supplies also sells backpacks and department stores usually carry some as well. Jansport (and Eastpak and others as well) makes backpacks that are 'regular' non-bulky backpacks, but have a laptop pocket as well. They usually don't offer much protection, but it will give you a defined place to put your notebook so it doesn't bounce around in there.
I also second e-bags.com for online shopping.

check your local stores, lots are having their "back to school" sales and backpacks will be one of the things on their list. Im doing the same as you- getting a simple backpack and using a notebook sleeve. I personally went with a good Jansport backpack with cushioned shoulder straps.
