Does anyone know where I can get a large-ish mouse? Most mice I've tried anytime recently force me to hold them in a claw grip, which I'm not really comfortable with. I'd like something that lets me rest my entire hand on the mouse - the problem is that I haven't found a mouse large enough to let me do that. I've a Logitech G5 and a Razer Lachesis, but they're both still a little on the small side.
For hand-size-reference sake, uhhhhh. Well, I liked the first-generation XBox's first-generation controllers. The ones people complained were too large. I think that ideally I'd want a mouse roughly 6" in length.
Picture in comparison with a 13.3" Macbook screen...

I find it interesting you find the G5 small, I have a similar hand but to a 16 inch notebook and find it perfect, steel series ikari is worth a try

Hey, isn't the Logitech MX518 supposed to be fairly decent??

The MX518's small too... I haven't seen a Steelseries Ikari, but is it really that large? I'll have to go hunt for one, heh. Steelseries isn't -that- popular a brand here.
X2P: Well, it seems I just have a preference for larger grips than most people, even though my hands aren't exactly oversized, even if they are slightly on the large side. Like I said... a lot of people seem to have hated the original XBox controller, but I loved it. -
It didn't look small to me..but then again, I have small hands!

J/K some of those presentation mice are pretty big, also I know some people like track balls that have big hands. -
I believe I read a review of the Microsoft Sidewinder mouse saying something along the lines that it was made for Andre The Gaint, or Mr. Fong.
There we go:

"It looks good, but the Sidewinder's oversized design isn't good for people who have normal-sized hands." -
I have big hands myself and I use the Logitech Cordless Optical Trackman. Very comfy and easy to use, I cringe whenever I have to use a regular mouse now.
-
A trackball, Ashura? Don't think I could ever get used to one of those.
Thanks anyway for trying, Cin
Ahhh, I'll check the Sidewinder out. Shall see if I can find one. Not sure if it'll still be in stock anywhere, though. -
The Ikari Steel Series has a lot of surface area for standard grip users. Here's a picture showing it side-by-side with other high end gaming mice:
EDIT: The Microsoft Sidewinder is definitely a large-grip mouse as well. -
What's the rightmost mouse? The Ikari's on the left, and the one in the middle's the G9... hmmmm.
-
+1. Really good mouse. And fits large hands. -
-
Microsoft Sidewinder is as big as they come.
-
K, it looks like the Steelseries Ikari and Microsoft Sidewinder are my best bets. Thanks, guys
Finally, I can get my hands on a long, thick, hard... mouse...
Hmmmmmmmmm. -

Try to get an older type of mouse from a second hand dealer. The older mice tend to be bigger.
