    In new laptops, there is a cloth like material insert between the keyboard and the screen to protect the screen.
    Where do I get a replacement? Or something equivalent to protect the screen?

    You can get big microfiber cloths from walmart. They were big enough for both my old Acer 18.4" and my ASUS G73 17". Now I've got a Dell latitude and don't worry so much about putting a cloth in there.

    I suggest using Microfiber Laptop Screen Protectors from ShaggyMac. As quite a few member around NBR recommends it.

    ShaggyMac screen protectors are expensive! $17 ex shipping for a 17" laptop

    Ebay has 16"x16" microfiber cloths for $2 shipped.
