As above.
I have rounded my choice to following speakers.
1. Altec Lansing BXR 1121
2. Altec Lansing AVS 300
3. Creative SBS 370
4. Creative SBS A300
5. Logitech R20
6. Logitech X210
Have you guys used/had experience with any of the speakers listed above?
Which manufacturer would you suggest?
Thanks in advance!

I can tell you the pair of logitechs arent all that good, I have the 2.0 version of R20 and I have heard the X210s.

Altec Lansing, if you have the money. Then, choose the best among that brand by bringing along a cd containing music that you know by heart (if not, then may I suggest orchestra-type soundtracks with varying instruments and sounds that "jump/move" from place to place) and listen to it there. Usually, the store will be kind enough to accomodate that request.

Thanks for reply guys. But i read in some reviews that in Altec Lansing speakers increasing volume more than 80percent causes distortion...
While in Logitechs there is no such complaint...
Only con in logitechs is no bass control...
Lets see, what other people have to say? -
Bump! Pls reply guys, have to buy on Monday lol can't wait

I wouldn't put too much stock in reviews, especially for sound-related stuff, since the human ear varies from person to person. Some may notice distortion/static, while others would go on blissfully unaware of that fact.
Also, the reason why Logitech isn't reviewed as much is because the customer base is different. There are people who buy any speaker system because they need sound. There are people who will get speakers because they want better sound. And finally, there are people who will buy speakers because they are O-C about their sound. Being O-C about their sound makes them give harsher reviews because they know what to look for and what to scrutinize. These are the JBL people, the Klipsch people (guilty as charged, although I am not a true audiophile, so to speak), and the Altec people to name a few. -
Bump! Need a bit more help. Thx.

I haven't used any of the speakers you listed, but I have the Logitech Z-2300 and love it. Great speakers and great prices for it now.

Thanks for all your help guys bought Logitech X210 for 1375INR i.e. 35USD
Bought after reading positive reviews of the speakers.
Will write a short review if someone wants me too, though am not an audiophile... -
If you are a wannabe audiophile like me then None of the brands u mentioned are good enough to satisfy u eventually.. although AL is better among the worse.
If u wanna spend a good amount of money on speakers then checkout monitor-class speakers like Samson MEdiaOne 5A or smthg like Klipsch or Harman/Kardon
Samson MediaOne 5A are a great choice for a demanding Consumer like u ..u can listen to High quality song, Do Monitor for Sound production & Play Games with lifelike output.
Actually i am planning to buy these too at end of the year hence recommended to u ..

Do a small review please?
Im thinking about getting the x-240s, which is the same as the x210s just with ipod dock. -
I have an off from college on Sunday. Will do the review then...
Till then you can search for X240's review on google and read some.
X210's review will be up soon. -
Sunday will be too late; I'll get my lappy tomorrow!
I will however take your advice and look at the reviews as I wish to make a purchase for something today.
