oh yeah keep them under 50$ the max of max is 60$ don't want to spend to much money in sound
-
Logitech is a good cheap brand. Look into that corp.
-
Sony MDR-V500.
Great sound,folding for easy storage.
im in England and a friend sent them to me from Florida.cost 50$. -
Look into Sennheiser; I love their headphones, and even the ones they have in the $50 price range are pretty good. The PX-100 headphones especially fold up sort of like eyeglasses and are still very good sounding.
-
Hi.
This one is the one I used with my Sony laptop .Its sound perfect.and it under $50.00

I'd go with the Sennheiser PX100's they cost 40USD on newegg and they come with a strong carrying case. They are some awesome sounding headphones for thier price range. I've had mine for about 2 years and I can hardly stand to use anything else. They are very comfortable and you can wear them for hours without them hurting your ears. They are open aired, which means that you can hear things going on around you(Unless you crank em up) which can either be good or bad, just depends on you and your situation.
-
Yeah, they are a steal at that price then.
Very portable, but sound excellent. -
Px100 (pretty high reccomendation)
iGrado is ok but can be muddy instead of clean sound
Please don't get logitechs... they sound pretty awful... -
JVC HA-NC100

I have only used my friend's, but I liked them without the noise canceling feature.
I personally use Grado SR-225, but I never carry them outside home because I paid $225 for it. I might buy a pair of these JVC units for work.
Edit:
Buy from Amazon if you choose this. $40 +s/h

Another vote for Sennheiser PX-100. They have great sound for the price!
-
Sennheisers aside, you might want to conisder some Koss headphones like the Koss Porta Pro. I recommend you go down somewhere and try them out and see which you prefer.
-
I would go for the PX100, but if you want a closed design look at the PX200.
-
-
what is the main difference between the px100 and px200?
-
PX100 has an open ear design where as the PX200 has a closed ear design.
-
read reviews on the Sennheisers HD555!
-
I have a Sennheiser HD485 right now, and it's great, but I think it's a bit too big to carry around, so I wouldn't recommend it. I'm probrably going to pick up a pair of Sennheiser PX100's when I head to college soon. That or some good earbuds, haven't decided yet.
-
I'm quite partial to the JVC Marsmallows and they only cost me about $15. They're not the best but they are perfect to beat up and use everyday. For better quality you should either get the Creative Ep-630 or the Sennheiser CX300's. They look about the same, but the Creative is a rebrand of the Sennheiser. People say the quality is about the same, but you're paying good money for the quality of the Sennheisers.
Of course, these are all noise-isolating canalphones not headphones. -
Sennheiser makes great headphones. I had a pair of open-air Sennheisers that sounded very good. But external noise can be a bit distracting at times.
Are you looking for earbuds (in-the-ear) or earphones (over-the-ear)? -

these can't be the best headphones out there, and probably not even close at all, but for the price, I really love these things, my first set is pretty jacked up, but still work perfectly, the cord is pretty mangled haha, i got a second set, the cord material was greatly improved, 1st set was black, 2nd was white, but after about 6 months the right reciever just stopped working.
but honestly, I will without much of a bother buy another set of these things, I just love them, I am no audiophile, and never plan on being one, those guys seem way to jumpy and freak me out a little bitbut these headphones just work so wonderfully for me. let me here lots of little details in sound how I want to hear it, in my freaking brain!!!
i really love that aspect of ear canal headphones, i can listen to these, then put on some nice bose headphones and they seem so super quiet because I have really learned to like the in hear design.
they are cheap enough that i don't have many problems if i have to replace them every year or so. -
try the ksc-75.. i think that they are the best bang for the buck.. they go around $25 i think.. or you can visit www.head-fi.org for more advices..
-
I have to say that be cautious of the Sony Fontopia's recommended by Circa because they are known to be made with inferior cords. I was lucky enough to buy them when they were first released because soon after Sony changed the materials used to make the cords and they apparently (literaly) disintegrate from your skin and oils. They are fairly good headphones but sound too muddy for my tastes. You may want to head over to HeadFi to talk with those guys because they can really help you pick out the best stuff for your money.
FELLOW AUDIOPHILES UNITE!
ARRGH! chii888 beat me out. Really go to HeadFi, they know their stuff. -
Another vote for the Koss KSC-75... best bang for your buck, bar none.
-
which would you say are better? -
-
-
Take a look at v-moda's earbuds, for example. Under $50, but very nice. For a bit more, Sennheiser and Shure make some very good stuff (the cheapest Shure earbuds are like $99 I think, but still very good).
You will find that high quality earbuds can be both more comfortable and offer much better sound than the freebie ones. -
For the budget range I prefer Senn PX100 > Koss KSC-75. Black PX100s look quite cool and the case make them seem expensive. Never did get into the Koss - wrap around your ear is not for me as it was irritating to my skin. A lot of personal preference in this business y'know. The PX100s are lightweight so you won't worry about long periods of use imo. Suprisingly clear and detailed for the price, with a nice introduction to the "Senn mids". Decent levels of bass but not brilliant and highs are quite nice but don't hit the spot. But then again, these are budgets and perspective is needed - I still maintain they are the best bang for buck budgets you can buy
As for earbuds I never liked them myself as they just would not stay in my seemingly odd-shaped ears. The only pair I have purchased are the Senn MX500, which as with the PX100s were quite good for budgets, it was the old "stay in ear whilst moving outdoors" bitOf course I moved onto IEMs to solve my portable troubles, but that's a different road
-
another vote for sennheiser px100.
-
Anyone know if there is any difference in audio quality between the Senn PX100 and the Senn PMX100?
-
The PX100 and PMX100 are the same cups(Speakers) just a different band style. And the PMX100's don't come with a cool carrying case. I also doubt you can wear the PMX100's as long as the PX100's(They'll probably hurt after a few hours).
-
how long can you wear the px100 without them bothering or hurting you?
do they get hot? if so after how much time? -
I've never noticed them get hot. -
I've woren mine all day long, only time I noticed them getting hot is when I'm working with them on and I'm sweating.
-
thanks alot, some thing else
1- are they made with a good material? who long to they last like new, ofcourse taking care of them?
2- what is the minimun price you can find them in? -
The PX100's are made of plastic housing and a lightweight metal, with cushioning near the top so if your bald or have short hair the plastic won't bother you. I've had mine for a little over a year and they haven't been damaged at all.
My usage was putting them in the nice carrying case and bringing them to college for use in between (and occasionally during) lectures. The cords on mine have been tugged pretty hard more than once, the cord has been rolled over by a desk chair a few times, and they still work and sound great. -
Check this picture thread out
As I said black > white -
I've had mine for two years. Everything has held up fine except they shorted near the plug, but I fixed that by cutting them up and putting a new plug on them, but I'm not all that nice to them, they have been a very durable set of headphones.
-
I've had my PX200's for nearly 3 years of daily use, and they're holding up really well.
-
thanks all everyone I think I'll go with the px100
hope I wont regret it -

these have great bass and it's very good for gaming and movie watching. I doubt that you'll want these but the positive ratings don't lie. I've owned these for almost 1.5 years and they've been great. Very cheap price for it's good quality. I'm sure the more expensive headphones are even better, but this is certainly a great bang for the buck.
Anyways the px100 are nice. My friend has it and it works great, feels/looks great, and it's very compact. These shouldn't disappoint -
yesterday I made the order of the px 100 in amazon hope that their good
thanks for all the help -
