I am looking at two different TV tuners for my HP 9000 series laptop. They are the Hauppauge WinTV-PVR USB2 or the HP Express Card Analog TV Tuner. The price doesn't concern me near as much as the quality of the video I will be seeing or recording. I want to integrate in to MCE and ultimate into VISTA. I have Vista ordered and should receive in Jan or so. For now its MCE .
Are there other tuners that I should consider? Being that I want the integration into MCE, I don't want to use a companies proprietary software either.
Thanks for sharing your opinion.

I hear Hauppauge makes great tuners, although they are expensive.
Another thing to note is that the Express Card slot is never really used for much, so you might be better off filling it with a TV tuner. That way you have one more free USB port, and one less thing to dangle off your notebook.
I have no clue about Vista support, although I would imagine that both companies will make Vista supported drivers. In some rare instances, XP drivers work under Vista as well. -
I am no including a couple of HDTV tuners in my research as well. Saw some links to AutumnWave.com. Looks like one of them may integrate into MCE which may have some promise for Visat too. They are a little pricey but may be worth looking into.
Anyone tried any of these; OnAir GT and the OnAir Creator?
Thanks.

Hauppauge definately makes a great tuner -- I'm very happy with mine.

Ditto regarding my HVR950...I really like it.
Which TV Tuner is better - HP or Hauppauge?
