So I'm going to college in a few weeks, and need a backpack to lug my 15.4" XPS M1530 in. I want something that's big enough to fit my laptop plus a book or two in, plus any accessories I may need to throw in. But on the flip side, I don't want it to be too bulky or clunky. I don't like really fat backpacks that feel like a turtle shell.

The biggest limitation is that I'm looking to use a $100 Target online gift-card to buy this, so I'm looking strictly at Target's website.

I know you all can't decide for me, but I'd appreciate any suggestions or recommendations you may have.

    Here are some candidates:

    Targus 15.4" Groove Notebook Backpack

Sumdex Computer Backpack - I kinda like the look of the Sumdex, but I don't know much about it.

Targus 15.4" CityGear Chicago Backpack - This one may fall under the "too bulky" category.

Express Backpack -I also like the look of this one.

Belkin 15.4" Slim Backpack - Seems popular, but I fear it may be too small.

    Sumdex Deluxe Laptop Computer Backpack

Since I have the $100 giftcard, money isn't much of a problem, as long as it's under $100. Of course, it's always nice to have some moolah left over.

    Thanks, all.

Yeah looks to me like that bag is just a general use backpack, not one made specifically for a laptop. If it had a dedicated laptop compartment it would definitely say so.

I personally use a regular backpack that has a little partition for putting your laptop in. It's not padded, so I use a Belkin laptop sleeve to protect my laptop. I prefer that method over having a backpack made specifically for laptops because most of the time I am NOT carrying my laptop around.
