I've looked at the waterfield bags and though they're beautiful, the dimensions just don't seem right. I'm looking at crumpler bags and two look like they could work: the Considerable Embarrassment and the Part and Parcel. I have an ASUS W7J and would carry my charger, extra battery, cables, ipod, small binder, textb ook, etc...

Anyone have any experience with either of these? I've read mixed reviews about the quality but nothing specific about either of these bags.

I have a medium waterfield cargo bag and I love it. My laptop is a w3j, which takes up most of the space of the main compartment but i rarely carry anything much with me anyways. The w7j would fit in the small bag, but if you need the space, I would reccomend a medium size. It looks just right to me (the large looked a little bulky). I would also recommend getting a sleeve from them that is custom built to fit any notebook like a glove. There is a special offer on the bag/sleeve combo.

The price is a little steep and I was skeptical at first but I was relieved when I actually got the bag and discovered it to be of top notch quality and design. You can read a good nbr review here http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?p=1211271

    Hope this helps :)

Thanks for replying - I also thought the large was too big and bulky - and the small...well, too small. I was ALMOST sold on the medium but concerned about the depth of the bag...regardless, I will get one of their sleeves with the flap and strap - along with the piggyback. Those will come in handy no matter what bag they go in. I'm willing to pay for quality, even though they are expensive. I've read every review I can find and there's no question that this is a quality product.

Right now I have a backpack and it's hard to organize things. My only concern with the medium cargo is that it's not deep enough - 3" isn't very big. What do you put in yours?

Lisaw: In the main compartment, I have my laptop, a book or 2, a water bottle, a small bundle of papers and my ac adapter. In the front compartment, I usually have my phone, Ipod, glasses, pens etc. I still have some unfilled compartments and some space to spare. Its not huge but its enough for my needs.

Tunamix: yeah i finally got it :) and im glad i did. I dont have a camera on me so i cant take a picture but I've seen some pictures online. here is one http://www.the-gadgeteer.com/review/waterfield_medium_cargo_bag
you can find more if you want but this is a pretty accurate representation. I think its the perfect size :)
