    Well, that's a blanket question that'll get you a blanket answer. Everyone has different opinions on which is best and what works well for them. Differences can also be seen in the manufacturer of drives. A user may report X companys media works with Y drive but doesn't work with Z drive.

    Check out http://cdrlabs.com. It is an excellent resource for infor regarding CDR/W, DVDR/W, and media. You'll find alot of reports of what media works best with what drive.

    I have the external sony DL drive and have had good luck with Sony and Verbatim media. In general, most people will tell you to stay away from no-name companies and store branded media.
