What do you guys prefer, a trackball, a mouse, or a touchpad?

I vote optical cordless, because I don't like trackballs and if you are going to use an optical mouse, it might as well be wireless.

I don't like the small mice though. I love the feel of the MX700. If I were to buy a mouse for my laptop, that would be it, without hessitation.

I like cleaning the rollers. It's funny to me to see how much gunk has collected over time.

After all you did include the "BALL MOUSE" [:0]! Who would even like that! Unless cleaning the roller thingy is among that person's hobbies[ :p]

Hey man, you might hate the thing, but I think it's excellent. I bet most of us IBM owners find it sexy

Although I still voted for optical mouse......it's definitely better than any touchpad or that stick thing

I didn't vote for cordless because I hate having to worry about changing battery and all that

I can use the touchstick thing just fine, I just don't really enjoy it for anything other than simple web browsing. As for a cordless mouse lagging, well, that depends on the mouse and your systems and the batteries, and if you're worried about a .3s lag, then maybe you should be worrying about your gaming addiction instead of a mouse choice lol [ :p]

I prefer optical mouse because it's lighter than wireless and I don't have worry about replacing battery.

    Dell Inspiron 6000d, Pentium M 750 (1.86 GHz/2MB Cache/533MHz FSB), 1GB (2x512MB) 400MHz DDR2 SDRAM, 80GB 5400RPM HD, 128MB ATI X300, 15.4" WSXGA+.

I prefer the optical mouse (not wireless) I hate cleaning the trackball mice. If you were to have more than one of the same kind of wireless mice in the same room then it might cause interference, as what happened to my dad at his work, so he bought a wired mouse and keyboard.
