Hi everybody,
I did little research and I need gaming mouse which would be almost perfect in every aspect. This is what I so far found. Logitech G9x,Logitech MX518,Logitech G500,ROCCAT Kone,CM STORM Sentinel, Gigabyte GM-M8000X. Any suggestions are welcome. I would want a mouse up to 2000 CZK which can be converted as (its inaccurate) 80 euro, 100 dollars, 67 british pounds.( I know few mouses of my choice doesnt fit in this price range but store from which I plan to buy it have sale now so suggest even something little above the range). Thanks for help everyone who will.

How do you define perfect? What type of games do you play? What is your budget and where do you plan on purchasing from? Will you be using a particular mousepad? Certain mice perform better in specific types of games (RTS, FPS, etc.).
-
I suggest Logitech MX518
great mouse for great price
it's 8 buttons works perfectly on my second year using it -
From what i see in this video, this looks like the best to me
YouTube - Official Cyborg R.A.T. 9 Product Demo
But it just released and not much info about it is around.
if you want a tried and tested 'perfect' gaming mouse, go for the Razer Mamba, or the Logitech g9x. -
I live in Czech Republic I wrote my budget I play mainly RTS and FPS. I plan to purchase my mouse from one of these stores Alza.cz - nejvìtí obchod s poèítaèi a elektronikou , czc.cz - Odborníci na po?íta?e a elektroniku , Mironet - internetový obchod . I heard about the Cybord R.A.T but unfortunately I dont think they ship it into Czech Republic.

Can't name a brand/model but as you may know it must have a high sensitivity, posibility to customize buttons actions, ergonomic.
-
To answer sgogeta4 the other questions I define perfect by comfortable mouse with customizable buttons, creatable macros and with unique look. My only mousepad is from Dataline CURTIS Curtis Gel MousePad Black MP11 - Mouse Mat from Normans Of Billingham UK .

Technically speaking, the Razer Mamba is the "best" mouse in terms of numbers. It has a 5,600 DPI laser and has 1ms response in both wired and wireless modes. It is definitely top-notch, although probably a bit out of your budget.
For under $100, my recommendation goes to the Razer DeathAdder. It's 3,500 DPI optical rather than laser, and is one of the most comfortable mice I've ever used. -
I would go with a Logitech G9X.
Newegg.com - Logitech G9x Black Two modes scroll USB Wired Laser 5700 dpi Gaming Mouse
5700 DPI. Comfortable. Adjustable weights (which is a necessity for me in FPS games).
The only drawbacks are the price and the braided cable. I just got one from Ebay for $55. So you can get them cheaper. The braided cable sucks because eventually it starts to unravel if you pack and unpack it a lot. But it is the best mouse I have used to date. -

I have the original G9 and have had it for over a year and love it. I got it brand new on an RMA from a previous wireless gaming mouse they no longer sold. I don't know about razer's support but i've exchanged several logitech's with great success. I got the g9 because the previous mouse started to fail after about 3 years, I think it had a 5 year warranty. The left click would fail to register about 1/50 clicks.
Maybe Razer is just as good for warranty work. Also, i've had plenty of logitech's never fail, so don't think it's a quality issue. -
I swear, sometimes looking at Razer mice, I feel they're more concerned about looks moreso than function. Sorry 'shroom!Last edited by a moderator: May 8, 2015 -

Besides, any gamer worth their salt knows better than to game with a wireless mouse. What I find (oddly ironic, I might add) is the fact that you didn't care for the weights on the G9...
-
I hardly call 5,700 vs. 5,600 DPI and the same 1ms input "kicking tail". And historically, the reasons not to game with a wireless mouse mainly had to do with input lag, which is a non-issue with the Mamba.
The Mamba is slightly heavier than my DeathAdder and an empty G9, but not uncomfortably heavy for me.
Out of curiosity, what about Razer mice do you think prevents them from performing well? -

I wouldnt get a Razer mouse unless it goes up to the Imperator standard. The Deathadder just has too little keys, i cant change my dpi on the fly if i wanted to, as i prefer having those side keys for other things. Out of yours list, i would get the Logitech g9x.
-
Protip: the DeathAdder has a DPI button on the underside.
-
i have both mouses. to tell you the truth both of them are great. just whatever fits your hand and is smooth to operate and configure go for it.
its not all about DPI cause people don't even know the whole use of 5700 and 5600. they truely don't notice it. i just think its aesthetics my2cents -

That would be like claiming the Corvette ZR1 is a sports car but the clutch pedal is located in the freakin' trunk. -

Razer Mamba for FPS hands down.
For RPG, RTS, MMO's the Razer Naga.
That is all. -
-
I'm really wishing I could purchase all these mouses(?) so I could really test them out. I can't seem to let go that the G9x reigns supreme.
-
-
Oh, I havn't, I own a g9. I'm just adding that to the conversation that I really like it. I also own an orochi, but that mouse isnt in the comparison.
-
The Razer Naga is unbeatable if you want lots of buttons, but I would personally find it annoying trying to select the right one. If you have dexterous thumbs then it may be a better experience.
Also, I purchased a DeathAdder Respawn two days ago and I can't fault it. The anti-tangle cable is a nice touch, especially if your planning on using it mobile. -

I used to be a Razer fan but recently switched over to SteelSeries and find their products to be superior in terms of precision/accuracy, feel, and build quality.
There is way too much emphasis on DPI . . . it's really meaningless once you get past 1000-2000. I would ignore that number completely when buying mice.
SteelSeries mice allow you to adjust both the CPI (Counts Per Inch - DPI is NOT the correct term for how a mouse measures movement) and the polling rate in increments of 1. Razer, etc, you can only set the polling rate at 125Hz, 500Hz, up to 1000Hz. I have my SteelSeries Xai set at 960Hz so it is synced to my monitor's refresh rate (60Hz); 960 is evenly divisible by 60.
I recently bought a Razer Imperator and to me it feels cheap and the click feel is poor compared to the Boomslang CE 2007 I bought a few years ago and especially the Xai.
One thing I like about the Xai is how the click feel is consistent no matter where you click it; can't say the same about other mice I have tried.
The real downside of the Xai is price; at $89.99 is is tough to swallow.

As for gold-plated USB connectors - I also would like to see any evidence that makes a difference. -
I thought gold plated usb were made only to keep them from being rusty ??
-
I would hedge that having a gold-plated USB connector on a mouse is supposed to give you the feeling of exclusivity, while offering absolutely nothing in return in regards to performance. All show and no go, if you will. Kind of like the products from a certain gaming oriented peripheral company I know. -
-
I use a Logitech Gaming G5 mouse. I love it
-
How about playing online FPS with a trackpoint/pointstick?
The best mouse...ever. -
-
I would suggest either the Logitech MX518, or the Logitech G5
I have a MX518 and I think its great. My friend has a G5 he says its better than the MX518, but I needed something a tad cheaper at the time.
The MX518's ergonomic design is very good, I've played games for many hours straight, never had hand ache once. The G5 is roughly the same design shape, and it has weights you can interchange, so you can get the "smoothness" (how easily the mouse moves around) of the mouse to your liking. -
Or the new Logitech G700?
-
-
Interesting...it looks more like the Performance MX than any of their previous gaming series mice.
-
I'll put in another vote for the G9x. I used the G5 as well and liked it. I like the weights a lot. I have a tendency to lift the mouse up off the surface when moving quickly. In my case, it may come from originally playing games with ball mice before optical mice took over. Those were inherently heavy.
-
I am a razer naga fan.
-
Razer Naga is pretty much in a league of its own in terms of MMO mouses, but for FPS performance, i presonally would not advise anyone to get a Naga.

Breaking Brian Notebook Evangelist
I just got the Naga... I was playing some CoD with it yesterday (just got my M15x) and I was kicking butt. Buttons are easy to press, and it has the same performance as the Mamba.... Perfect mouse IMO.... Now I just gotta wait for FFXIV to comeout so I can ignore every other game to comeout in the next 7 years (sans FO:NV!)
-
mx518. been using an mx510 for like 5 years... would recommend that if it were still in production. color scheme is better. the newer mice seem better on paper, higher DPI, etc... but i've used a few of them.. a razor one, g7, mx revolution, and i can't feel it tracking any more accurately. so why spend the extra money? If you're right handed, i think the mx500/518 ergonomics is the best you can get.
-
take a look at Steelseries..they have a few good, well-priced mice.
-
I´m using the Orochi.
I know it can a turn into a pain in the due to the sleep issue, but I just plugged it and it has become something really special. It´s small, comfy and really fast, I had to settle at 2000 DPI!
I am owning all over the "Arid Badlands" in Borderlands!
Which gaming mouse is best?
