    That's really outdated. No wireless peripherals are infrared anymore - the better ones use microwave frequencies at ~2.4 GHz, and they perform quite reliably.

    My couple week old Razer DeathAdder mouse uses 1800 dpi infrared "3G" sensor :D Esreality claim its the most accurate mouse they've reviewed. Well even the cheap free Targus mouse has been OK, but it enters sleep mode randomly if you leave it for 5 sec lol

    In general, wired is more accurate...but many sites have tested the G7 and have found it to be ok. Extremetech had this EXTENSIVE article on a bunch of gaming mice...it was a couple months back so not too long ago.

    Their accuracies may be measured in many ways. But none of their differences can be fealt by your naked hand. So there really is no difference.
