    Which laptop backpack should I get?

    New to this forum. I am in the market to get an ASUS ROG G751JY. These things have a reputation for being larger than normal 17.3" laptops. I need to get a replacement backpack that I can use for both school and traveling.

    Three main requirements:

    1) Space. Need to be able to transport the laptop with power brick, maybe one change of clothes, study materials (one book and notebook perhaps) , and if possible a PS4. The main reason is if I am separated from my checked bag and stuck somewhere for a day or two. As far as bringing the PS4 along for the ride, if I can wrap the console in a shirt or other article of clothing to maximize space then I will.

    2) Price. If there is nothing better for less, then I will settle for an Everki Titan or Beacon. Depends on which can suit my needs. I would definitely prefer not to add an extra $150 onto my purchase. Especially since I am already getting a travel router at the same time.

    3) Not advertising that I am carrying a name brand laptop with the same name brand backpack. This should seem like a no brainer in my opinion, but alas the many forums I have checked recently have many people saying "I got the ROG Nomad and I wouldn't choose anything else," or something to this extent. Not trying to make myself a target. This means no Alienware bags, ROG bags, Razer bags, etc..

    I've looked a little bit into Slappa bags and found decent reviews for it but then an Amazon customer posted pictures of the same bag with the stitching frayed beyond repair and an inside pocket with the bottom torn out.

    I've read contradicting reviews on the Titan and Beacon stating the G751 "barely fits," or "fits snugly," or even "with room to spare." These various reviews are giving me a headache. Ha.. -_-;

    Any help would be great. :)

    I managed to fit a G73, Xbox 360 and all accessories in my Beacon, but that was pretty much all I could fit. The 360's power brick is huge though (the original one) so there is that. What you want to do should work, but it will be a tight fit. The titan might yield more room overall.

    After years of carrying a laptop bag with a shoulder strap on and off of planes, I finally decided to get a laptop backpack last year and I love it! It's designed for up to a 17.3" laptop and has tons of additional room, if needed. If you don't need the space, there are adjustable straps on both sides to make it more snug. I only carry a 14" ultrabook in mine, but I also carry a lightweight Canon flatbed scanner (about the size of a 15" notebook but thicker) and it all fits along with all my carry-on items, books, phone and anything else. It has been very durable and I've taken it on at least 20 flights so far.

    It is the Kenneth Cole Reaction 'No Looking Back' Laptop Backpack. Retail is around $89-$99 but you can get it on eBags or Amazon for under $50 right now. I highly recommend.

    I also have this bag. I would really recommended this if you travel and would like to carry other miscellaneous items also. It hasn't failed to disappoint me yet! :)

    Is it safe to buy there? And is it legit.
