K i was wondering which one would be better for my Asus C90S, which has airvents below and a fan array at the back that pushes air out of the laptop. Still runs ridiculously high temps though. So which one is better designed for it, the Zalman NC2000 or the Notepal Infinite?

    Thanks all

Looking at the bottom I would recommend leaning more towards the NZXT Cryo LX

Hey thanks for the fast reply. Read the Notebook Cooler Buyers Guide thread in ur sig, liked what i saw about the CRYO LX. Weight and sound doesnt really matter to me, just how effective it is. So in comparison to the Notepal Infinite and the Zalman NC2000, would you say the CRYO LX is more powerful?

It is all about fan alignment and from pictures a found of the bottom of teh C90s it appears the NZXT aligns best, if possible could you post a pic so I could confirm. Cheers

notepal infinite is good if your exhaust is at the side. But do not use it when your exhaust is at the back since the notepal infinite intake is at the side just below your notebook exhaust. hot air will just cirulate around your notebook.

K i'll probably pick it up from newegg then. One last qn, read in one of the NZXT Cryo threads here that it runs on 5V supplied by USB, which results in it not reaching its max potential. Any way around this? Thanks for everything x)

I have a Dell XPS M1710 and I was looking at a lot of coolers as I also use it on my lap, picked up the Cooler Master Infinite unit today and I find it works very well.

Easy to keep on my lap, aluminum top mesh with fan drops the heat down, it almost matchs the bottom area of my XPS (smaller coolers don't match up well with a 17" laptops), no fans/openings on bottom that would be blocked when on my legs.

    Very pleased with it.

I second the NZXT Cryo LX and also the Enermax Aeolus CP001 (review in sig)
