I was wondering if anyone knows of any monitors/TVs (res. 1900x1200+), that can connect to a computer AND cable nextwork - HD Cable?

Might seem like a strange question, but I need a sort of all-in-one monitor. Thanks for any advice

Look for TV's, that's your best bet, but I'm not sure if you can get 1900x1200 or not. Might be limited to 1080p.

Look for 2 or more HDMI ports, so that you can connect to HD Cable and your computer with a HDMI->DVI adapter, or just HDMI. I'm not sure if VGA would support that res or not.

    Is 1080p a lower res than 1900x1200?

    1920 x 1080 is a resolution. I thought that it was 1920 x 1200? Does that mean a 1920 x 1200 laptop is better res than a 1080p TV?

Yes it is a higher resolution because it is a different aspect ratio. Most computer screens use 16:10 where HD TV uses 16:9. There are a few reasons I've heard that computers use 16:10 instead so I am not sure which one is the correct reason.

Ya.. DELL makes good 1920 X 1200 monitors.

But they can never be better than HDTV.. since HDTV can be of 40 inch too.
