I am deciding between 2 different notebook mice. I am getting an hp notebook with bluetooth. The 2 mice are:

    1. Logitech V270 Cordless Optical Notebook Mouse for Bluetooth, found here:

    2. Logitech® VX Revolution, found here:

    http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/details/CA/EN,CRID=2146,CONTENTID=12140

The bluetooth mouse is obviously cheaper. I have bluetooth and would like to take advantage of the non-receiver technology. I love the wireless freedom with no dongle. But I also want a very comfortable notebook mouse, and I have heard many good things about the Revolution. It looks very nice and i would rather get it, but it has no bluetooth and requires a reciever. It also looks a little heavier then I would like.

What do you recomend? What do you think i should get?

    Thanks in advance.

It is pretty interesting about the prices in US & Canada. With $120 CAD, you can buy both mouses at Amazon (US).

Anyway, the VX looks like its for mainly gaming mouse...so if you are a gamer, I would go for that.

I'm considering getting the VX Revolution as well, but it's a pretty big mouse.

If you are actually thinking about getting a Bluetooth mouse, and are looking at ultra-portability, take a look at the Mogo PC-Card BT Mouse. It fits right into your PC Card slot of your laptop when not in use. Obviously not very ergonomic for lengthy use, but I'm definitely considering getting it.

It all depends on what you need though on the go.

yeah i acually have been looking into the MoGo, and did a lot of reading on it. It looks pretty cool, but i dont think im gunna get it till they come out with a touch pad scroll bar on it.

Right now i think im leaning towards the bluetooth mouse. And i dont think the revolution is neccesarily built for gaming... but if its big and bulky then i dont want it.

I just got the Revolution, and it is the best mouse I've ever used. It is a bit bigger than most notebook mice, but it is by no means bulky. It is between most notebook mice and desktop mice. The ergonomics is near perfect for a notebook mouse, it's light, there's no lag at all, and has lots of features. The receiver is really tiny, and fits into the mouse when you're not using it so it's handy. It is not primarily a gaming mouse, although I use it for gaming and have no complaints, which tells you how lag free it is (I used it for FPS). I think that some BT mice have lag issues, although the newer ones might be better, if anyone can comment on this.

You can check my review of the VX Revolution, there is a link in my signature. I would recommend that mouse to anyone.

yup i have read ur review of course already, good review!

and the newer BT mice do not have the lagging problem, or some of them dont. The one that i showed you in my first post has very good reviews, and it does not have any lagging problems whatsoever... it is made by logitec also, so of course its going to be good!

the revolution looks like a great mouse, but im still not sure. I bought built in BT in my new laptop for a reason: to get BT headphones and mouse. I thought it would be really nice to have no receiver. I know how the revolution's receiver is very small and fits in underneath it, but i think it still might be too heavy and expensive for me. And i really do want to take advantage of the BT i bought in my hp.

Im still not sure. Any other suggestions?

I think im going to bestbuy to try out the revolution, i saw it there a while ago but didnt really look at it too much. Im gunna try it out and see how i like it... Ill tell you what i think of it! :D
