    Cordless mouse?

I just bought an IBM Think Pad and would like to get a mouse with it. Why should I get a cordless mouse?

Enjoy your new purchase. I use a wireless mouse simply to keep my working surface clear. Don't like pulling a pesky cord.

To give the Cordless Cat some company?

Seriously, Cordless is nice but why run the risk of running out of power? An optical mouse with retractable cord is good enough for me.

Since the USB ports are on the left side, after you run the cord behind it, it is in the perfect posistion.

I posted this in another thread, but feel it may help answer your question. I treated my fabulous new Fujitsu S6231 to a Logitech V500 wireless, optical mouse ($55). It is very sleek and stylish and has a touchpad scroller on top. The right and left buttons are really not buttons at all, but extensions of the top cover (very cool). The rear of the mouse can be angled up for a better feel. The optical section is designed for "rough terrain" or use without a mousepad. It glides effortlessly on various surfaces. The USB receiver tucks away inside the mouse itself and the unit turns on or off with a switch underneath. (2) AAA batteries and a nifty little zippered carry case are included. The V500 works exceedingly well in all aspects. I wouldn't leave home without it! Regards, Ace [8D]

i rcommend kensington's pocket mouse pro, really good for traveling, the cord retracts inside the mouse.

Logitech V500 is really nice. The only downside is that there is no middle click which is a huge disadvantage for me since I browse with Mozilla. I wish they would have a firmware update that would make Left+Right click = middle click or have tapping the scroll wheel in the center as middle click. Sucks [ :(]
