    Greetings,

I've been looking for a laptop sleeve I saw someone using for the past couple of days and couldn't find it ANYWHERE.

Here is a basic description of what I saw:
    1. The sleeve was a single piece, black (prbly polyurethane) that attached directly to the laptop.
    2. It was attached by four diagonal elastics on every corner which left the laptop's and buttom unexposed and opened and folded as a singal unit.
    3. I am pretty sure that there was no zipper.
It was basically a standard sleeve that opens all the way and attaches to the laptop...

Any help identifying this sleeve will be greatly appreciated!

--> If no one can understand my description let me know and I'll post some sort of illustration.

I've seen it before, and Its been posted here, though I don't recall the name.

It was not recommended for a sleeve, as the uses aren't really practical, and the notebook would usually get very hot due to lack of ventulation.

    Thanks for your reply.
I really wasn't sure if this was a very common sleeve or not.

I was interested in that model to avoid scraching of my new notebook but I haven't considered the overheating factor...

I would still like to know the name of the sleeve and see how it works out. If any one has any information (forum title, brand, etc..) please post a reply!

    Thanks again.

use search terms like "rugged" "waterproof" "outdoor" and i'm sure you'll find it.

and i'll 2nd cori's post by saying "bad bad idea" remember the company making and marketing these things don't care about your notebook, they just want your money.

if you don't want your notebook scratched, don't scratch it. not to sound sarcastic, but really, i've had multiple notebooks for years, one of them went through 3 years of law school (in and out of the bag, onto desks, in the library, coffee shops, etc.) with me and they've never been scratched. a little common sense and care is all you need.

    Thanks for all the advice!

...So if Laptop Jackets are not the answer, what would you suggest as a light-weight yet very protective sleeve that doesn't coast a fortune?

    Thanks again
