Mayflash is going to create a 2 port Wii Classic Controller to PC USB adapter sometime around the end of September or October. It will be a straight up USB adapter like their PSX to USB models, so it won't require all that extra stuff like the Classic Controller + Wii-Mote + Bluetooth + Glovepie set up. It'll be as simple as just plugging in a Classic Controller and setting the joypad inputs in the Emulator (or Joy2Key if it requires keypresses). For those interested in such an adapter, keep checking Mayflash's site.

Um ok, are you a person or just spamming the site for advertisment.

The reality of it is that the wii classic controller is not that good of a controller, if your on PC you would be using a xbox 360 pad instead.

Now the wiimote and nunchuck are great though so if you already have those working its not a problem to just use the classic controller in the same way and retain the mobility of not being tethered to your PC.

I don't -work- for Mayflash, but I did suggest the idea of a Wii Classic Controller to USB adapter to them, as well as Hkems and a few other companies, all except Mayflash said the same thing you did, that the CC isn't popular enough, but I think you're wrong. From the times I have played with it at friend's I found the Classic to be quite comfortable, the d-pad is one of the best I've felt. I think its alot better than the thumb-murdering PSX "split diamonds" style dpad. And yeah I know there's ways to get the Classic to work on a pc using Glovepie, along with a Wii-Mote and a Bluetooth dongle, but for me and many others that method is too troublesome / costly.

They are making a wired version first (with adequate cord to
compensate for the Classic's short wire) to test the market.
If the adapter does well, they plan to make a wireless model
which will use an RF transmitter like the Phillips pc controllers
and run off 4 AA batteries so you won't be "tethered."

    i disagree... greatly..

The Classic Controler PRO .. is the best controler design released since the PS1

the 360 controler is nice for use on pc dont get me wrong.. but the quality of analog sensativity and the fact that the Classic Controler pro has full Digital buttons and no dumb analog triggers (which doo hold you back!)..

u do realise most of the pros on Xbox live for Halo and MW use moddd controlers that turn the triggers digital dont you?

the 360 controler is very flawed in this respect in regards to compedative gaming.. sure it feels nice to have a trigger but if u want to win 0/1 readings are alot nicer.

    note:

Analog trigers are a hell to bind with unsuported PC games

Does this USB adaptor emulator Xbox360 controler input?.. mabye with a combination of buttons for the Pressing analog sticks in (as the CC doesnt have this feature)... beacuse so far i plan on switching to the CCP as my main go to controler for all my sistems

PC - Via usb // or wiimote bluetooth
    PS3 - Via homebrew Bluetooth
X360 - hopefully by this USB adaptor or another
Wii - Via wiimote // Classic Linker (for gamecube controler functions)
PSP - Via Remotejoy or possibly PS1-2 adaptors into my PSP2TV box
DS - Prob going to sell it Hehe

the Classic Controler Pro is the best controler iv held in over 10 years.

... i believe there is already a fairly straightforward method to connect the wiimote to the PC using bluetooth.

... and i have no idea why anyone would want to connect a wii classic controller to a pc... they are pretty junky. why not just get a legit joypad from logitech or the like. possibly wireless, even, if you care to go that route!

The classic controller is not junky just that I do not see much reason for PC use, its not suited for most pc games. It would be a good match for emulators though, but I would probably just get one of those $5.00 snes like pc pads instead or the adapter to use a snes pad on the pc.

the bluetooth method I am a master of, its not exactly straight forward but its not hard of you take your time to learn it.

I do it the advanced way, manual profile with glovepie but there are programs like pinnacle game profiler that make it just plug & play. Last I checked it was not working on Vista x64 yet though only 32bit. That was many many months ago so maybe its fixed now.

If you want a pro I like this black version - http://www.yesasia.com/us/wii-class...k-japan-version/1020324124-0-0-0-en/info.html

Its both on sale and free shipping so its a pretty good deal. I am kinda tempted to just see what its like but I wont really use it so I cant justify the $30 for it right now.

Besides I just spent mad $$$ on my new gpu and monitors for my desktop its gonna be slim pickings for awhile. I am even forcing myself to stay out of the deals forum section and slickdeals/craigslist so I am not tempted to buy something :D

I guess I am a cheapskate who is also very lazy and doesn't like messing with anything complicated... Ever since first playing with the CC I had wished that someone would make an adapter to allow it to be used with Emulators, now that is happening so forgive me if I'm a bit excited about it and want to spread the word. I personally think this a cheaper and less troublesome method than the existing "Wii-mote + CC + Bluetooth + Glovepie" route, there is less to buy and less to have to set up, the user can just plug the adapter in, connect two Classic Controllers and start setting buttons in their emulators (or set up profiles in Joy2Key).

The adapter will look like this:

It will have 6 feet of attached USB cord to compensate for short CC cords.
It will have bundled Re-Mapping Software (you can also just use Joy2Key)
It will work with the Classic Pro, L R act as digital instead of analog sliders.
It will register within standard Windows Gamepad Setup.

If this model sells well, they are going to make a Wireless version that will run off batteries and connect to the PC using a USB RF receiver (much like a model of wireless PS2 kockoff gamepads made by Phillips - http://images.philips.com/is/image/PhilipsConsumer/SGC2910_27-GAL-global?wid=430&hei=430&$jpglarge$)

So its out now? How much does it cost? yes it is a lot less troublesome but the "harder" method leaves you with a lot more advantages if you can achieve it.

    Use of nunchuck & wiimote
    Wireless
    Free Cost
    Etc.

For NES emulation for example I just want to use the wiimote dont even need the classic controller.

They're still working on Driver Software (which I don't see why they'd need to, since it will work with Joy2Key and that prog uses the least system process of anything I know and it has many many uses), last time I mailed them they said it should be available within two weeks. But even then, you would hafta check Ebay for it, as they don't really sell their stuff straight from their website.

As for cost, I saw a listing of it on PlayAsia for $14 (s&h not mentioned). Prices might drop after a lil while, I remember when they released a 2 player SNES to USB adapter, and they were going for $20 on Ebay and they later dropped to $13.
