I really like these Apple LCD, but it seems like it uses only mini-DVI... which most PC out there doesn't support...

Am I correct on this? Anyways to get this LCD to work on a PC Desktop with DVI output?

It's mini-DisplayPort, not DVI, I believe. With an adapter, you should be fine - they're available from Apple (ripoff, like usual), or from other sites, such as Monoprice.

Only issue is, you'll need a female mini-DisplayPort to male DVI, which I can't find. You can probably get it to work by stringing together a female mini-DisplayPort to male DisplayPort, and then using a female DisplayPort to male DVI adapter.

Personally, though, I would just get some other quality IPS screen - it'll be (much) cheaper than $1000.

There is no way to use that on a desktop with DVI out currently. You need a DisplayPort to use that LCD. Since it is a desktop you can get a graphics card with a DisplayPort fairly cheaply.

You could always blow 150ish and get a new graphics card that has a display port and is probally better then your current gc.
