    Hi
I have recently purchased a pc windows vista and a problem which I know is not uncommon has occurred. My Canon Pixma MP170 won't work well that's not strictly true but I can't install from the disc and therefore cannot install Mp navigator and other tools on the disc.etc. I have recently had to resore evreything and I think at one time I did know what to do but I've forgotten. Would really welcome any help.Clare

I have installed the drivers and software. When I click on Mp Navigator, I am told "The scanner driver supported by this software is not installed. But I have tried downloading the driver from the link you gave. Any ideas?

Hmm, strange. Do you know if Canon has a scanner that's basically a stand-alone version of the one that's in your all-in-one? You could try using that driver if such a product exists.
