The reason I ask this question is that id like to know the options that are out there for me when I get my laptop and bluetooth wireless doesn't seem so hot in its response time. I've read up on the Razer Orochi which seems nice while connected to the USB but the bluetooth doesn't sound too great gaming wise, and how about just daily tasks like browsing the internet is it up to snuff? If it performed like a wired G5 I'm sold.

In the end I still might get a wired mouse but id like the portability of a wireless for college. I was originally going for the Razer Mamba but the charging dock is the receiver so that killed me :( ... Anyways any help on this is greatly appreciated :)

Also by gaming I don't mean 5600 DPI but 2000+ is nice with a good response time. Is there anything like this?

I was happy with the portability of my logitech g7 mouse. just make sure battery is charged before you leave.

I've since moved on the mamba, and the g9

The Orochi's Bluetooth mode is perfect for pretty much everything besides gaming, as the input response time is not very important for most tasks.

All modern wireless mice have good enough response time for daily tasks.
But Orochi's bluetooth mode for daily tasks?? I'd say far from perfect Thanks to the 0.5 - 1 second freeze after the mouse idles for 2 seconds.

If you can tolerate that, then it's for you.
If you want better and "freeze-less" with the size of Orochi, get the VX nano or AnywhereMX with nano receiver.

They have normal DPI I think, 800-1000dpi

Edit: You may want to check Roccat Pyra Wireless :
nano receiver, 1600DPI, 1 ms response time /1000Hz polling rate
but some reviews said the battery life is too short using the provided rechargeable batteries.

The fastest wireless mice with wireless receiver are probably Logitech Performance MX with 1500 DPI, and roccat with 1600 DPI, didn't see any with more than 2000.

Damn the G7 seemed perfect.. Too bad they stopped making them. Guess I'm down to the Logitech Performance MX, Roccat Pyra Wireless, and Razer Orochi. Thanks for your help!

Ive been using a logitech M505 with a nano receiver for my gaming on the move and it does me just as well as my G500 on my desktop. The onlt thing it lacks it the extra buttons which my G500 has.

I use a G7 i consider it perfect but it does not use a nano receiver (thought the full size one is not a big deal to me)

I did not know they stopped making them, that really sucks because now I do not know what mouse I will get when this one goes out (though its still in brand new condition so thats probably a long long time)
