Reformatting my desktop and I'm stuck at putting in my new username and password because my Wireless Keyboard KG-0851 will not connect. I've switched out to new batteries to make sure that wasn't the problem but it's still refusing to connect. My wireless mouse has connected without any problems what-so-ever.

I looked on the HP page about wireless devices and it did not help me in fixing this issue.

Can anyone help me, please? HP has not been on my good side this past year, especially with my faulty laptop drivers.. but that's a whole nother huge issue.

Is it a Logitech? If it's not return it and get one. Mine are, and they're plug and play.

In any event, you should have a connection button on you keyboard and mouse. Your instructions should tell you in what sequence they should be activated.

I have no idea, which is the problem!
It's only says to go to HP.com/ergo and it doesn't even have an obvious SKU.
I went to the HP site to find the driver, but this keyboard doesn't even have any name on it. I was typing in each of the groups of numbers on it.

I've found a few random threads online where people are having the same problem, but their model has a reset button on the usb port.. which mine doesn't.

All have reset buttons; and if it doesn't you need to get a better quality keyboard. This is one case where the name brand really does count.

Yeah, it's just weird how it is HP and yet it's a pretty anonymous model. It was the standard one that they gave me when I purchased the whole computer. I'm going to keep looking and try to find any manuals that I might have stashed away. I just don't understand why it's so difficult to find anything about the keyboard! Before this, it was extremely reliable and would last long on batteries.

I'm wondering if I should uninstall the mouse and reinstall and see if they both end up working instead of just the mouse?
