Having developed a pinched nerve in my vertebrae, my physical therapist wants me to get a wireless keyboard so I can type with my arms bent at the elbow no more than 90 degrees.
Needles to say, all my desks are too high and I also have to find a keyboard shelf to put under the desk.
Since I work often at night, I would like the keyboard to be backlit.
I would like a touch pad included as I hate using a mouse and haven't for years.
All my computers are laptops -- all Windows 7: HP EliteBook 8740w, HP elitebook 8540w and Sony Vaio Z 1290.
I have no idea how wireless keyboards work. Do they use blue-tooth? -- their own dongle?.
I realize I probably can't have it all so I am listing the features I want in the order of priority:
1. Wireless KeyBoard with touch pad <-- that's essential
2. Backlit
3. Laptop size key board -- not a miniature
4. Sturdy.
And while responding, if you have a recommendation for a Keyboard shelf to install on my desk (under it to slide out and must be very sturdy -- not shake when typed on), I would welcome that as well.:hi2:
