Booq is having some CRAZY sales on their sleeves right not. The 17" PowerBook sleeve and the 12" PowerBook sleeve are only $4.99 (an amazing deal). The 15" PowerBook sleeve is $54.95 though.

Although...check this out...these are the specs for the 17" PowerBook sleeve:

    Laptop Compartment: 15.4"x10.2"x1" (391x259x25mm)

    My laptop (HP dv6000t) is 1.0” - 1.69” (H) x 14.05” (W) x 10.12” (D)

Would that fit perfectly?! If so, I'm one lucky son of a gun .

The sleeve is only $15 shipped. I'm tempted to order it and if it fits, I'll use it for something else. $15 for a booq bag shipped in incredible.

    SHOULD I GET IT?!?!

    well, it IS only $15...

plus, your lappy is almost 1" narrower, so that should leave a bit of slack to get it closed around the extra height.

1" narrower? My laptop is .69" thicker (I think). Also keep in mind this is made for a PowerBook.

    Also, my laptop is widescreen.

What do you guys think?? BigV, you're right, it is only $15.

I don't know, it depends on the sleeve. The extra thickness of your laptop at least means it's going to stretch it out more than a 1" thick laptop would, but the big question is whether that will have an impact on its protection/fit/etc. or not.

Frankly, at such a low price, it seems like a pretty low risk experiment to try out.

even though it is made of semi-rigid ballistic nylon, the sleeve will stretch a little with height...just have to work a little hard in zipping it up. the width and depth are pretty set though.

Final price was $14.55 shipped. Am I a monkey's uncle if I just got a booq sleeve for $15 shipped? The normal ones are about $60 before shipping, so about $70 after tax and everything. Even if this doesn't fit, I'm sure I can find SOME use for it :). Thanks guys!

I'm sure I'll end up donating plasma atleast once this week anyways, which is $15 so if worst comes to worst, I have a piece of crap that I got for free.

ALSO, sorry for the triple post...I'm just excited I got such a great deal!

I'll be sure and post pics and let you guys know whether or not it worked out or not. Thanks again!!

narrower as in width... 15.4" in the sleeve vs. 14.05" on your lappy.

    wide - narrow
    thick - thin
    deep - shallow

17" powerbooks are widescreen anyway, I believe.

at any rate, I hope it works well for you! :D
