I have searched and searched for a perfect laptop sleeve with a pocket and handle with high protection. After searching I have found this http://www.goincase.com/products/detail/15-neoprene-sleeve-plus-cl57154
with interior dimensions of 14.1" x 9.6" x 1". Now it also says it supports the 14 inch ibook which has dimensions of 1.35" x 12.7" x 10.2. My notebook has dimensions of 13.15" (W) x 9.45" (D) x 1.34" (min H)/1.57" (max H). Will it be able to fit?

Hi.
Well you have excess space on Width and Depth, it only the Thinkness that you are over by a 1/3" , It might fit, but it`s a lot of money if it dont! -
Great case, as far as I can tell. I had purchased my HP DV5T while in NYC and wanted to buy a thin neoprene case with handles to help me carry it home (I already had my other laptop in my messenger bag). I ordered this for store pickup at the local Best Buy and they sent me the confirmation that it was ready. When I got there, they couldn't find it and I was very disappointed. It seemed to be the best option for a neoprene case WITH a handle available.
As far as the dimensions are concerned, make sure that whoever you buy it from has a return policy! -
Hey, that's a nice looking case..and it might indeed fit....
If it doesn't, the return policy is pretty good:
Good luck!

Yes, looks good! It is hard to find a decent laptop sleeve with a handle.
Hi, Cin! -

Does anyone know of a thin notebook sleeve for a Dell Studio 15 which has a 15.4'' screen. But since the Studio is tapered and more than an inch thick at one corner, i am afraid to buy any 15.4'' sleeve.
Can anyone please suggest a good sleeve. -
Zeroshock III sleeve...The best protection for your laptop.

Anyone with a dv5t have a recommendation for a good sleeve? The case is slightly thicker so I wonder if some of the thinner "up-to 15.4" " types would be too tight.
I wouldn't want one with a handle. Just something thin that I can use with my laptop bag (mainly just to protect from scratches) I'm currently using an old plastic sleeve my Sony Vaio came in just to stop it getting scratched in my bag. -
I'm not familiar with the first sleeve you mentioned, but I agree with the comments about Zeroshock by Shinza. It is a very strong material, yet thin and light. Since it zips all around the notebook, less chance of notebook falliing out, than with other sleeves.
I haven't yet looked at that Ebay link, but the main place to buy the Shinza Zeroshock cases is directly from the manufacturer's US outlet (if that's where you are), which is I think at www.shinza.com.
I usually don't see them at other retailers. I think the company just sells directly to the public, not to other stores. I'll check out the ebay link though.
I was going to buy one recently, and they (Shinza) were out of the size I wanted, and some others as well. They are supposed to get a new shipment later this week. -
PS,
Just looked at the sleeve in your original post, and it doesn't look to me like it would be very protective. It's made out of neoprene, which is generally very soft and thim, not very protective. You do see a lot of sleeves made of neoprene in the stores, but they sure wouldn't protect much from a fall, etc. Unless it is some different kind of neoprene, I'd say no to that one. Check out zeroshock. -
I just looked at this e-bay listing though, and I would not suggest buying from there. I thought their price might be lower than from Zeroshock, but no, I think it's higher. Certainly if you include shipping, as the Ebay person charges a high shipping charge for sending a sleevel
Furthermore, there is only one size and color in the ebay listing. At shinza.com, there is a wide choice of sizes and colors. Your notebook actually might be able to fit a smaller size than 15".
And buying from Shinza--I think they have a good return policy, not usually the case with Ebay. -
Well, I just took a look at the Shinza site. To ship to my location, they would charge $9.11. So it's about the same price as eBay, except they're out of stock for a lot of the products that I could see.
-
The ebay seller from whom I have purchased has many size/color combinations not listed. Just email him. -
Another option is the sleeve case from WaterField. They're a little pricey, but are the best in my opinion. I have a friend who has been using her WF sleeve daily for about two years now and it looks brand new still. She has dropped the notebook many times from low to medium heights and the notebook didn't receive a scratch or dent (although a high fall would destroy any notebook regardless of what sleeve brand you use). They have plenty of sizes for tons of notebook models as well. If you don't see your size there, just email them your notebook specs and they will recommend you a size. A last resort for them is to customize a sleeve just for your notebook. I ordered in the morning of a business day and it shipped that evening. Talk about customer service!

And return policy. I don't recall Shinzaa's, but I think it's like most other normal retailers--at least 30 days, full refund. Mr. Ebay only gives seven days, with a 10% restocking fee. (Hard to buy a case just from the web, that you haven't seen or tried yet. One sure would want to be able to return it easily, for a full refund, if it isn't suitable)
Since Shinza doesn't seem to sell to retailers (otherwise we would seem them elsewhere on the web and in stores), I assume the Ebay ones are seconds, perhaps defective in some way, that Shinza wanted to unload cheap. Or perhaps overstock. Or stolen or something. Yet the guy isn't selling them cheap, but trying to get the full list price, the same that Shinza charges.
I only buy from Ebay when it is a very good deal, much cheaper than I can get at a normal retailer. No sense paying the same price there, without the same guarantee of quality, with much poorer return policies, etc.
My two cents.
Actually, since the Shinza cases are so good, and unlike any other, I think they should sell to retailers, be available at Best Buy, and everywhere else. They would sell many more that way. But perhaps there isn't enough production in Japan to justify that, so they just sell their small stock through their own outlet, and become known through word of mouth, forums, etc. -
It looks like one end is entirely unprotected, with only the velcro clasp to keep the notebook from falling out, but with no protection for that side.
I guess that's more of the traditional sleeve design though, where you can slip it in and out easily, and most of the protection is supposed to come from the case that the sleeve is inside of. It takes longer to close the Shinza Zeroshock case, with a zipper all the way around, rather than one velcro clasp. But that gives it more protection.
One other thing I like about the Shinza design, is that due to the fact that it unzips all the way around, you can use your notebook inside the case, adding some protection when you use it as well. Since there are two zippers, you can charge it with the case mostly closed, just leaving a little space open for the charging cord.
One thing I miss in the Shinza case I have, is that there is no place at all to put accessories. Of course you will not be able to put big accessories in a sleeve, like in a full case. You don't bring your AC adaptor inside the sleeve. But it's nice to be able to carry a few small items in the case, besides the notebook. Many sleeves do have some kind of accessory pouch.
Well, I think the model I have is the Zeroshock II, purchased over three years ago. It looks like the new ones, the Zeroshock II, does have a zippered pouch on the outside for small accessories. I like that. Besides buying one for my new 13.3" notebook, I may buy a case the same size as the one I already have, 11" (for my Fujitsu 10.6" subnotebook), as I would find that accessory pouch quite handy. -
PS
They have a pretty good, quite protective sleeve at the sporting goods outlet rei.com, including at their retail stores. More of the traditional sleeve type, not zippered like the Shinza. Can open in two directions. Zippered pouch on the outside. Well padded and protective. I forget if they have two or three different sizes. -
Nice comments on the sleeves and such!
I found a sweet messenger bag...more for style I think...LOL

I normally make it a rule to not buy into inflammatory statements since they are rarely based in fact and intelligence.
The beauty, however, in debating with an individual, such as yourself, whose specious assertions make for nothing more than entertaining reading, is that you rarely do any research before typing.
In many cases, Shinza charges a premium for their Zeroshock, assuming, of course, you can purchase the case of your choice...No small feat since the majority of cases are marked, "Not in stock at this time," and have appeared that way for weeks and months. Your contention that they are going to receive more is suspect, at best, and deliberately false, at worst.
While Shinza does, in fact, offer a 30-day return policy, it also charges a 20percent restocking fee, as opposed to the 10 percent about which you complain with the Ebay seller. I have purchased 4 cases from the ebay seller, and found him to be most accommodating. My purchases came quickly and, despite your claims, are not seconds, nor stolen merchandise. They come packaged beautifully, and are in perfect condition, as if I were purchasing directly from Edion in Tokyo.
Google comes up with several hits on complaints against Shinza.com.

Hiya, Cin!
You know I love messenger bags, too. -
Cin -
Those are hot messenger bags. Sometimes, you just need something a little nicer than a backpack. -
Yeah, I have my Maddie Powers...but I think I'm going to order that first one...it's just really sweet, and it will be nice to have one of different material: ) Plus I can use it for other things, if I wanted!

Check out the Brain Cel from Tom Bihn.

Read up on these products, they cost a bit more than what you'll find in most stores but will also protect your expensive laptop better than most as well.
Would this sleeve fit my notebook?
