I bought X-Fi Xtreme Audio Notebook (older, 54mm version). I wanted to play BF 2 or 2142 with "X-Fi" option but when I choose it, I see message that my soundcard is uncompatible with this settings. Does it support it?
Second problem - it's impossible to change mode (there's only entertainment mode but no gaming etc.). XFiMode_1.7 - high cpu usage and changing mode for "gaming" doesnt work.
And what with X-Fi Notebook 34mm and USB versions?

    Final question - X-Fi Extreme Audio is'n real X-Fi (id doesn't have EMU20K1). But X-Fi Notebook (34mm) is real X-Fi with EMU20K1 or not?

Both notebook cards mentioned above aren't the real deal x-fi. They are software driven, with cheaper hardware. You are better off getting a gaming headset (logitech g35, steelseries siberia) that emulate 7.1 surround sound which x-fi does. The problem with those express card solutions is they take up cpu resources. This can bring fps down if the cpu is bottlenecking your games (assuming you have a great gpu).
