Welp. I've been lurking around the forum a bit, and I'm still indecisive on which mouse pad to purchase. I just bought the Logitech G400 off amazon, so something that compliments it. I'll mostly be playing MMOs and a few fps. Thanks for the help.

Check out the Razer Goliathus or SteelSeries QcK lineups. They're both soft mats available in several sizes, and the Goliathus also has the option of a smoother Speed surface or a more textured Control surface.
I have the Goliathus Alpha (largest size) Speed edition, and it's awesome. Very smooth and plenty of room. -
if you already feel comfortable using your mouse on the bare desk, then a hard mouse pad may suit your needs more. Take a look at the Razer scarab, however if you can still find the Razer eXactmat, get that, its still the best hard mousepad around.

Yeah most people said the eXactmat was one of the best they've had, but it's hard to find it now that it's been replaced.

Well the exactmat gives you that option of choosing between a super smooth surface and a slightly rougher one (which i prefer). The scarab's surface is identically to the exactmats rough surface so even if i went with that i wouldnt feel the difference.
