    Hi,
After deliberating for a while I have decided to buy an Acer Aspire 5021WLMi (probably from here )

The problem is this laptop (along with a lot of 15.4" acer laptops by the looks of it), is that it is rather big in size:

    363 (W) x 278 (D) x 24/32.9 (H) mm
    (14.2 x 11.5 x 1.8 inches)

I live in the UK and have been looking around the various posts on this forum, but most of the sleeves don't seem to fit this sized laptop. Are the ones made out of neoprene stretchy in any way? The largest crumpler gimp size is too small, but the material looks like it may be stretchy.

I was going to buy a sleeve and then put my it in any old backpack, but it doesn't seem like it's going to happen. I am tempted just to buy the crumpler Base Toucher backpack, but it is rather expensive, and also rather large. I'm not a tall person, and don't particuly want a bag that looks like I'm going camping; just one that will fit this rather large laptop, it's power adapter and a book or two so that I can carry it around a university campus.

Any advice would be apreciated, thanks.

Looking at it again, it seems the size of the laptop they supply in inches is incorrect (that or the size in mm is incorect).

Assuming the metric size is correct then the laptop is:
    14.52 x 11.12 x 1.32

I found the following sleeve: http://www.ebags.co.uk/products/index.cfm?ModelID=49735&sourceid=UKDEALTM

    A Shoreline 15.4", which fits laptops up to: 360mm x 270mm x 40mm
    (or 14.4 x 10.8 x 1.6)

Now this is only slightly too small, so do you think it would fit? They do a 17" version but its massive compared to the laptop.

    The Crumpler The Gimp 17", has dimensions 260mm x 390mm x 30mm

which is 27mm to long in one direction, and 18mm too short in the other, would this suffice for my laptop do you think? It's hard looking for peoples opinions of the crumpler bags because all my google searches are filled up with those websites that try and find the lowest price for you.

I'm having difficulties finding it though...

are there any others to choose from? I have the same problem where i just want to put my lappy in my backpack to go to lab and this travelmate 4402 screen is super flexible so i need a bag... the slimmer the better. I am also in the us if that matters which it probably doesnt these days.
