I've started Google searching around for what people seem to review highly as far as specific accessories go, and I've found a lot of top 5 lists; so I figured I'd start a thread where we can list our favourites (mice, bags, stands, etc).

My laptop is arriving within the next couple of days, and I'm looking into models to get for a keyboard/mouse/laptop bag/kensington lock. But I'd like to hear others' reasons for going with the accessory configuration that they do.

Mouse - Logitech VX Nano - reliable, long-lasting mouse
Keyboard - Logitech Illuminated Keyboard - I love the large, short-travel keys
    Speakers - Logitech Audiohub - a great 2.1 setup considering the $15 I paid (notice a pattern? :p)
Bag - Speedo Pro Performance Backpack - durable and has tons of pockets. My review: http://forum.notebookreview.com/accessories/574966-review-speedo-performance-pro-backpack.html

I also use a 750GB WD Passport HDD, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it over anything else.

As for a lock, ehh, I wouldn't bother. Just toss your notebook in your bag and bring it in the bathroom with you.

    If you're traveling around:
    1. Mouse (Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 4000)
    2. Earphones (Vmoda... errr these Amazon.com: V-MODA Bass Freq Earbuds (Jaded Green): Electronics)
    3. Flash Drive (some really thin random 8GB PNY drive)
4 Cool Balls :p 2 pieces Mobile Devices Cooling Ball For Laptop Computers
    5. A Bag for it all Newegg.com - Targus Black 17" Groove Backpack Model CVR617

If you're leaving it at your desk:
    1. Mouse (Yes, still)
    2. Cooling Pad. I actually have a NZXT Cryo 17 inch cooler, but the Cool balls work just as well for literally 1/70th of the price =\ (I'm actually thinking about selling it at this point)
    3. An external monitor, if you don't have one already
    4. Speakers.
    5. Some sort of backup hard drive, and get one with the fastest interface you have :)
