    Hi,

    Can the HTPC Software / Remote that comes with the Asus Z83V be used with the Z70VA or is there a better alternative? If so, where can I get it?

    that would be great indeed
    I have a A7D(aka Z83D) which doesn't have a tv card but has both an ir and a cir receiver
    the cir driver can be found at the asus site and it is recognised
    we now need the s/w to assign actions to buttons
    one very common program is winlirc which will work for most ir receivers connected to a serial port
    if someone can find a work around on this please give us some info
