I'm trying to get more opinions about this cooler. I know it's a little bit expensive but it looks like a good investment. Have anybody bought this and tried it out? Which way does the fan blow?

There is a review on the zalman here on NBR, just search for it. It blows towards you or rather the vents on the bottom of the notebook. Overall, it is a pretty good cooler, however, compared to the market it doesn't have the fastest rpm fans or the number of fans, but it's quiet (on lowest setting), and it is on a slant which I like.

Take a look at my Zalaman NC2000 review. as stated in the review the NC1000 is just a smaller NC2000 and has a red light vs blue light and also has usb ports on one side instead of two.

I have the NC1000 use it every time I use my laptop its perfect for me, it cools down temps some but it keeps my laptop off surfaces (im kinda paranoid about putting my laptop directly on public surfaces sometimes) and it gives me the tilt to type on which I absolutely need, without it my hands hurt fast and I cant type as well.

Its definitely not the most high performance unit out there by far, I use it more for the ergonomics and durability/looks Its the most awesome looking cooler out there solid metal shell and jet black (they have a white one too)

Well I have the nc2000 fits my asus g2s perfectly, and keeps my legs at around 35 degrees celcius, its cold on my lap, nice and quiet and feels cold on the bottom of the laptop. no temps just yet

    To OP:

I have the nc-1000 and only use it when I'm on the go. Even though it only reduces my laptop temps by a mere 1-2 degrees at most, it's fairly portable. I still use it for now but I'm waiting for something better to come out and it's not the nc-2000. It's just a nc-1000 with slightly bigger dimensions and more air holes but still having the two same fans (size, rpm) as the nc-1000.

I've tried it, didn't like it. Like Vicious said above, it doesn't have the best cooling out in the market (which is definitely my #1 criterion for puchasing notebook)--- noise level, aesthetics, are all secondary.

    What size is your notebook?
