    Hello,

I have recently became an owner of a new Sager 17" laptop... I also bought a Zalman cooler to use with it... Now, this question might be a bit silly, but I need confirmation that having my laptop placed on the cooler and the way it is placed at a slight angle that this will not be harmfull to either the hard drive or the dvds I put in the dvd drive... I have never owned a laptop and until now I have always used a full case desktop PCs where all the hard drives and dvd drives would be placed 100% horizontally... This is maybe where I came up with an idea that it is bad for a hard drive to operate at an angle (that it always needs to be placed horizontally)...

So... Please confirm that I will not do any damage at all to my laptop hard drive if the laptop is placed on the zalman cooler ;)

the discs and teh harddrive will be fine. I installed feet on my laptop. The ones in the back are 1.5" tall, and the ones in the front are 0.75" tall. I have two slot loading drives and two harddrives in my laptop, and I never had any disc related problems related to the system on a slight angle.

The only thing I would worry about is the thing sliding off the cooler and onto the floor

    Good luck with the cooler

the Zalman coolers have a horizontal rubber strip along the front of the stage to prevent that from happening. :)
