    Hi,

    I bought a A-DATA NH01 640GB hard disk today, when I remove it by windows using "safely remove" the LED is still on and the hard still is turning. what is the prob? how could I solve it?

    Just unplug it, it's ok. Just make sure you don't unplug it in the middle of file transfer and you will be fine.

    That reminds me of a time when I was demonstrating how robust laptop hard drives are compared to desktop drives. I picked up a 2.5" HDD to show my friend while waving it around in my hand and totally forgot I was backing up my media files to the drive. It immediately started clicking and died within a few minutes. :eek:

    so what can I do ? when I safely remove it , it takes 2-3 min to stop turning and the LED is still on forever. please let me know whatever you know!
