So, I am getting a laptop, but am going to use it often in a car. So, what would the best car cigarette adapter for a laptop (as well as cheapest)?

You should probably check with your provider on what adapters they may have available. I wouldn't trust something like that to a third party...

Just pick up and inverter. You can get cheap ones or expensive ones, they should all work. You should be able to go to your local walmart and pick one up for under 20 smacks. And the nice thing about inverters is that you'll be able to use it for more things than just your laptop.

as long as the voltage matches up and its the same fitting 3rd party dc adapters are just as good as offical ones in all my years of experience. Its not rocket science just a matter of matching numbers.

I wouldnt go for super cheap no name brand off some truck out of china, but a decent adapter thats not the offical one can be much chaper just because its not the offical brand name one and have the same quality.

find the volt/amp rating on the one thats made for your notebook and go from there.
