ok so im looking for a wireless mobile mouse with a micro receiver (that can be stored in the mouse)

im looking at these two mainly

    http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/mouseandkeyboard/ProductDetails.aspx?pid=007&active_tab=overview for $41.44 at amazon

    and

    http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/mouseandkeyboard/ProductDetails.aspx?pid=013 for $39.95 at amazon

i like the sounds of the bluetrack technology but is it as good as what it sounds?

i had a MS bluetooth notebook mouse (which i returned cos it stoped working), and it came with a little pouch. is there anyway of finding out if either of these mice have one or does anyone know if they do or do not?

i curently have a logitech wireless mouse http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/mice_pointers/mice/devices/5484&cl=au,en M305 which is similar to http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/mice_pointers/mice/devices/133&cl=us,en except worse/less features, however i am going to return it as it lags and performs bad... i paid $55AUD which is $44USD

would either of the MS mice be better than this logitech? i would think so and as its only $5USD postage to Australia it would save me some money too...

i'm kinda answering my own question i know but any help and oppinions would be very helpful

    cheers

    Hey there!

I think, I can help you! I currently have the Microsoft Mobile Mouse 6000! I have been using this exclusively for nearly a month now, and it's just fantastic! I can't say enough about this mouse! :)

This Mouse does not come with a *pouch* (bag) to carry and store the mouse in (if that is what you mean per se). But, it does have a nice little *hub* underneath to store the receiver *when on the go*, if you do not want to keep the receiver attached to your USB port! ;) (see pics below).

The Bluetrack Technology on this Mouse is really nice..I have had no problems running it on hard surfaces, (even carpeting & I have textured Berber), where I would normally not use my mouse so far when quickly testing it out. I just love having this mouse in my hand. It's very *comfy*. I think this mouse will give the Logitech Nano some healthy competition in some ways. :D

I really haven't noticed any *lag* times, and so far the battery has held up extremely well for the usage I have given it!!! : cool: Oh, I'm sort of clumsy, and have dropped this on the floor several times..and it still works quite well from my self inflicted accidental droppings!  :p  :D

Hope that helps you in some way on your decision making process!

    Cin ;) :)

They look good, but I can't find them on newegg. Maybe they are too new.

They seem to be a bit larger than the Logitech mice that have the tiny receivers, and I prefer a mouse that isn't tiny.

I think I would pick the 4000 because it looks a bit larger, and I like blue.

My MS MM 6000 came with the UnderNeath Hub for the Nano Receiver because it was specifically made to hold it for convenience & portability! ;) :)

I also have a MS Bluetooth Wireless Notebook 6000, that does not have a pouch...as no receiver.

It all depends on the Make & Model.

The design of the 6000 is extremely comfy in my hands, in fact when I'm using it, it literally feels like it just *forms* just right. Very comfy.... :) No, no complaints whatsoever! ;)

Try it, I think you will like it!

    Hope that helps!

    Cin...

The one I have is depicted in my pics I posted above and is the
one you linked in your first post:
    http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/mouseandkeyboard/ProductDetails.aspx?pid=007&active_tab=overview

It is smaller..I have small hands, so it fits well..but so it works well.

But, I think it would feel comfy in any hand..This mouse I would say is just as *comfy* as the Logitech Nano would be. ;)

When I get home this evening or at lunch, if I can find them..I will post some comparison shots for you :D

    Cin...

    Hi there Cin,

Does your MWMM 6000 has a wobbly scroll wheel? the wheel has excessive "free play" and makes noises as it moves down and sideways (not to the point of clicking though).

    cheers

    mtarn,

just beware that although top end mice from Logitech and Microsoft have 3 years warranty, Logitech does not offer "international warranty" and i believe Microsoft does. So you need to consider this if you plan to buy it from overseas.
